I think alot of the negativity in what Norm is talking about isn't so much that he's against female comics, its that he's against hackey female comics getting spots over other talented people (man or woman) because of their looks, which is true. you look back on some of the more talented women in comedy like for example Roseanne Barr, someone like that would have never gotten the chances today that a Whitney Cummings does.

There's a prime difference between comedians who want to be movie stars and ones who don't. There are alot of comedians who want to branch into movies and TV and there are few who don't, however the ones who don't are ALWAYS so much better. Norm, Mitch Hedberg, Andy Kaufman, Steven Wright...all hysterically funny because they all cared way more about being funny then trying to make an impression.
