I have to say, this is an amazing song, and Face to Face gets complete props (They MADE the song) But Tim just has better vocals. Hell he has some of the BEST vocals in the punk scene. I pretty sure the members of Face to Face would agree with me on that.

I didn't know about this song until Rise Against covered it, and I think this version is much better. Rise Against's is too produced and clean, although I like Tim's voice better. RA's sound just doesn't fit the song. This is what old school punk should sound like.

IMO rise against version has soft intro and heavier guitar sound. That gives the lyrics sad feeling for me while this original one makes me feel cheerful. Both of them are almost equally great (Original one always better) but if am to chose I would go with original one. It's kinda like RA's Everchanging, orginal and acoustic version give different feeling too. Anyway I shouldn't discuss RA song in face to face vid.

I remember seeing them open for the Adicts I believe in 1992 or 93 in L.A. and it was so empty in the front. My friends hated them but I thought they were good. A year later they opened for Weirdos in Reseda & they only played 4 songs b4 getting booed off because everyone wanted to see the Weirdos. Again, they sounded good to me. Fast forward to this CDs release & I saw them at the Roxy (sold out) The pit was raging for every song & it was a great show.

Face to Face rocks. Big Choice and Don't Turn Away though are my fav albums. How to Ruin Everything was a good (albeit) swan song.
