i have a short ram air on my car i did the same thing with the black flex hose but when it rains pull the black hose out of the filter just incase i suck in water
How do you like the air filter itself, do you feel it does a good job filtering the air. I would like to put one of these in my car. Do you notice and fuel milage gains. Thanks
the filter does its job well. i clean it every few months and ive yet to see a spec of dust anywhere inside. as for milage gains, i have no idea... i'd like to think so lol actually during winter days, my intake pipe remains cold even after long drives when everything else under the hood is hot... which is a good thing, but dont expect too much, power-wise and efficiency-wise.
you mean like hydro-locking the engine? well the filter still sits as a short ram, and it would work as a bypass valve. in other words, theres no way that hose would create enough vacuum to suck in water.
