The translation is pretty awful and spoils most of the gags, so you can't really scorn a non russian spaking guy for not getting this. But oh well.

Positively brilliant! It's like Miyazaki on LSD with the art done by Maurice Sendak (Where the Wild Things Are) as well as Ghan Wilson and Paul Rodriguez - the latter two drew and wrote for National Lampoon... Amazing clever! I'd love to have a copy of it!

I'd also say "I concur" instead of "analogously". Original as it is, it just doesn't make sense in English. The use of the adverb on its own makes it sound odd, whereas it's not uncommon in Russian. Anyway, that's just my two cents

"I concur" would actually be an incorrect translation. "Likewise" would be correct. But "likewise" and "analogously" are... analogous, so I figured: if "likewise" is an adverb and can be used on its own, why not "analogously"? Sure, it's very rarely done, but that doesn't mean it can't be. That was my reasoning, anyway.

Subtitle quibbles:

- Are you sure he said "o nas soobschali", not "u nas soobschali" @ 5:25? I.e., "Did they say something on the news?"

- "lichnoe delo" @ 5:52 is "personal file" not "exclusive"

- I'd insert an "Ew" around 8:43 - "Fu-u" doesn't translate itself.

- Re: "klichka Baldahin" @ 9:18. "Baldachin" is too obscure, but what about 'Quilty' or something?

- "Vyhodili" @ 9:31 is something like "adopted"

- @ 9:42 should be "get on the phone" or else the pun is lost. :)

Ooh, поморьска говорь... Well, Sovet da Lyubov' is just "Peace and Love" - used for well-married couples: deskat', poshla u nih zhizn', sovet da lyubov' - mutual counsel and love. Peace and Love, I'd say.

Ah, thank you. It's true that I didn't quite hear that when I was translating. Unfortunately, there's no way to translate it into English anyway; "zoo" doesn't have "park" after it in this language. So even if I COULD edit this video (and I can't...), I'd probably leave it as it is.

Гиганты, что перевели, но все-таки "analogously" - это математический термин, не употребляющийся в разговорной речи как наше "АНАЛОГИЧНО". Лучше перевод был бы, мне кажется: Likewise или Ditto.

another problem i have id decyphering some cyrillic letters some with no english equivilants ΠБШЩЭФ p,b,sh,shch,eh,f i see and get right away but the ones that look like latin letters(english)HPсяви n,r,s,ya,v,i, even the backwards ones look too much like the english letters to me the equivalents mo6 ect are eysier for me. "Я Poдpyгa" has a priblem wit the english v so she always calles me bince. seeing the cyrillic in her head and over correcting it.

slapstick humor was good easy to understand(subtitles)I asked my girlfriend and she didn't like it so didn't watch it. I had alittle trouble decyphering the title so I sent her to the page and she recognized it and quickly navigated away. Oh well I thought it was funny. different strokes for different folks.
