  • he didnt throw a laptop. where did that come from?

  • I told you all! I knew that there was no way that he would get out of this. It doesn't matter how cool the teacher is, and trust me, i know he was cool. In fact, I'll bet there was a small investigation. I'll bet the reason for his actions were do dumb, that announcing them over television would just make him an outcast. There is no reason for him to act the way he did. And the way i see it, he's just lucky he didn't have his teachers' lisence revoked.

  • You are right Burke... They were introduced to give the community more buy in into the extremely complicated variables involved in operating a public school district. However, there is virtually no over site of their unpredictable decisions. Most don't know their own board policies. They don't even have to be able to read. There is No perquisite, no background checks, no education requirements and no experience necessary. Most often it is just a stepping stone for wanna be politicians.

  • @catdanc Your statement is plausible and well-put. However, Mr. Starnes attitude outweighs any controversy of the school board's decision to dismiss the former.

  • school boards are gestapo panels

  • You fuck up you lose your job. "Keep the worst students" you are an idiot the students are kids and teens if an adult threats a kid then they are liable but if a teacher looses control and thrown a laptop across his room in an uncontrolled outburst then you lose your job. What if it hit a different child in the room one of your “Good ones” then what?
