She made some mistakes unfortunately. Her voice is not mature enough to sing this song correctly, but the promise is there you can hear it. I can't wait for her to grow up. I predict she will be the greatest singer in the world when she turns 21.
@dieseldog00 To Jackie's fans, she already is the greatest singer in the history of mankind. There is no recorded evidence of anyone at any age that can sing like her. And she is only 11. To her fans (and I am one of them) she will be a living legend before she turns 21 if she continues to progress at the phenomenal rate she has in less than a year .... but then again I am an avid fan :)
I think her performance of this song on "The Talk" was her best but this was the cutest [with the stuffed baby seal in her pocket]. I think she most lived the music in this venue, given her love of baby seals. I just listened to several renditions of this song [one of my favorites] by Sarah B, Chloe Agnew, Yoko Maria [at Carnegie Hall], and a Korean opera star .. Jackie's voice is the most pleasant and tranquilizing of all .. that can be listened to repeatedly without "ear fatigue". Magical.

OMGess! I hope she understands the importance of what she sang. I just want to say again how grateful I am and for all of us to be witnessing the Jackie experience because there will never be anyone like her on this earth. I agree. It would be simply wonderful. I think what makes Jackie's performance above many other singers who are also gifted but more "mature" is just that, she captures the essence of the music in its pure form with little overembellishment.. with innocence. Whereas others have stylistic riffs as their mark, hers is the absolutely crystalline purity of the music.
@AmberWaves444, Jackie does edit the lyrics herself and write songs, she has to understand the songs otherwise she will not able to show emotion when she sings, Jackie is multi talented young lady.

@Dadabaableable That's a great idea 'Dad.' I understand some Italian, but a lot less when it's being sung. If we want more grand opera fans here in the U.S., they should be able to understand the lyrics without having a libretto. I can understand why opera's not more accepted here. It's more beautiful than most Americans know. Too bad it's not more vigorously promoted with 'systematic' subtitles as you suggest. I can see that Jackie alone has made many converts, from reading her fan mail.

It would be a tremendous boost to opera if the new power of the internet was used to subtitle. At least for small pieces, cause I still can't imagine listen to a complete opera this way, although...
