What happened was tragic, there's no doubting that. A young man's life was ended too early. But when you look at it from the outside, you see it could have all been avoided had Steen A) not been where he wasnt supposed to be in the first place, and B) didnt run from the cops. I'm not saying Officer Ard was in the right, but Steen also has to carry half of the blame cause in the end it was Steen's own actions that lead to his death.

Im a resident of Pensacola,now i wont lie,i have met about 3 nice cops,out of probably 100 cops....so with that being said,the cops here are no good,i can personally name 2 right here and i should but im not sure if i could get sued (they would definately try) so i wont,ive had guns in my face over traffic tickets,numerous unprobable car and person searches,ive been manhandled badly once,my record..... NO ARRESTS,so why do they treat us like this?

Well in Pensacola starting pay is somewhere around 26k a year, that's pretty shitty. Not all cops are liars, sure there's a few bad apples, but those guys don't last very long. The cop didn't "choose" to pursue it was his job and that's the difference. We as taxpayers and law abiders have set aside a select group of people entitled by OUR OWN DECREE to remove law breakers from society and deliver then to court. We created laws to protect that group in the event law breaker runs or resists his delivery to court.
