because his father was sick and he wanted to help his hard working mother and sick father get better therefore he couldnt be with mew iono if my explanation is good enuff but thats why after he told mew he couldnt be with mew he went home and he hugged his mom and looked at his sick father...i hope dat makes sense but i hope deres a sequal and with the same actors
Sry, but i do not agree with what you said under "more info". Although Tong's mother wanted him to do all that, but near the end of the movie, his mom let Tong choose his own path for his own life, and finally accepted him for who he is. Why Tong decided not to be with Mew, i still cant figure out. could be the director's decision, to make the film "less" of a gay film. Or it might've been the actors' choices, so they wouldn't become gay icons like other gay film actors..Clearly not working =P
