La cancion esta compuesta pensando en la ciudad costera donde crecio, Asbury Park, victima de la especulacion inmobiliaria, tal y como ocurre en muchas cuidades del resto del mundo, de eso aki en espana tb sabemos muxo. Por supuesto la cancion esta viva como todas las de Bruce y posteriormente cruza la frontera de Jersey y se traslada a la ciudad de Nueva York, despues de lo ocurrido en el 11/S.

@gibberth Actually, this song is written about Asbury Park, where he came when he was growing up. That place isn't the same any more. He actually wrote this song ealier than 9/11. But since this song was one of de 15 'Rising' songs, I can imagine that many people think that this sing is a song about 9/11.
