I'm curious as to how Magoo's Frankenstein character created the monster. Did he make it from parts of corpses like the book's Dr. Frankenstein or did he created from some weird chemicals.
I suppose it's best left a mystery in this case. I don't think censors back then would allow animators to show images of people stealing from graves or piecing together dead body parts.
All the same, this is still a very entertaining rendition
@sadlobster1 Mary Shelley was pretty vague (and deliberately so) about how Frankenstein brought life to his creature, too. But she was inspired by some theories, of her day, regarding chemical galvanism.
This may not be exactly like Mary Shelly's novel but it's still pretty darn entertaining. Magoo makes a rather convincing Dr. Frankenstein (despite being blind and somewhat senile) and the monster in this is just as intimidating as Karloff's
Even during the one scene after he gets loose from the castle, you can still feel sympathy for him when being mistreated
I've looked and looked for this! Where in the world did you find it?!

Thanks for posting! I've been searching for this forever. Wasn't even sure it was real, like maybe I'd dreamed it as a kid!
