@42percent NO SHIT, sherlock. That would be why it's called an airshow!! God damn, your comment was one of the fucking most stupid things I've ever seen.
In Akron, Colorado, Sept. 2008 Kyle Franklin put on a fine performance with the original black and silver WACO that Jimmy flew for so many years before the jet WACO. Many maneuvers were exactly the same; the 4 point roll with reversing aileron to crispen the points and the flat inverted spin. Kyle added some new maneuvers but many of his father's touches were there too. It was great to see the Franklin Mystery WACO in action again. Talent just runs in the family!
I Caught Franklin and his son at an air show in Saskatoon a year before he died, thankfully I missed his crash in Moose Jaw. But his bit was the best of any airshow I've been to.
jimmy franklin was the best and a personal favorite. he lived for a show ~ the tail-slide king! i found out just a couple weeks ago about his crash at moose jaw, and for me the pain is fresh; i miss him sorely. *thanks jimmy* ~
I caught his run at the airshow in Saskatoon the year before he was killed in Moose Jaw. He was a fantastic pilot. I'm glad I never made it to the airshow the day Franklin and Younkin collided. I think Moose Jaw's airshow has been shut down since.
jimmy was cool . i saw this routine in Somerset NJ
and had a bad feeling.. low speed slow flight just above the jet car. I thought someone was going to buy it. Jimmy had class remember zar??? it's a dangerous business
I saw Mr. Franklin and his son at the Porter County Airshow in Valparaiso Indiana. He's part of the reason I became motivated enough to get my license. Truly one of the best.
WOW..........With Bobby!!! I met Bobby while working in Gallatin TN. We kept his planes in our hangar. I loved watching him do his act in his B 18. I cant believe I hadnt heard. Thanks for the info. Thats 2 of the best that was out there. Damn
I was able to see jimmy fly the day befire he was killed in the accident in moose jaw saskatchewan with the masters of disaster. I am thankful I got to see him fly one last time, and I am also gald that I was not there for the secnd fatefull day at the airshow. Great video of a unique machine.
This is pretty much the most exhilarating airshow act ever!!! Jimmy, we miss you!!!!!!!!

Dang! I didn't know he had been killed. I got to see him at the Sun N Fun airshow in Florida in 2002. :(
Does anyone know what has become of his plane?

unfortunately it was his WACO biplane that was involved in the collision...it was completely destroyed.
