  • It is clear the man and the machine are not the same.

  • @aardvaark069

I am shocked and horrified that out of 6032 views we are the only two people who noticed anything wrong with that piano/recording. I am a Chopin fan and I've played piano for the past 12 years. I have never in my life heard such a beautiful song sound so bad (and believe me, Chopin would have keeled over and died if he heard some of the things I've heard.) And it's worse that this was rated 100% likes.

  • wow man. ur pianos sounds AWFUL. Grt that reproducer regulated. My duo-art hasn't been touhed in 10 years and it plays much much better than this.

  • yes this is wonderful vide.good

  • Wow. That's so unmusical. What a painful thing. Wretched.

  • ma perchè così pochi hanno visto questo video? suggerisco di metterlo come compito obbligato per tutti gli studenti di piano! Maurizio Carnelli

  • this would be fine if the hammers were voiced..........they are too hard

  • @flugelmaniac , You are right.

    That is not Paderewski's tone.

    His was more mellow.

I have a recording of him playing this and his tone is not this hard.

What is wonderful about his playing of this is the way he plays with the time as the theme starts, first hesitant, and then moving into and settling into the basic tempo.

  • ask your piano technician, to adjust the dampers to get some delay.

I believe the choppiness is from the dampers damping too early.

otherwise a great piano, great performance!

  • Fine rubato and sounding very even over the variations in volume. But the rather direct, poignant sound remains. You may experiment more with closing the lid or positioning of the microphone. Or ask for advice whether the hammers are to be softened more or not? This series of yours is and remains a very welcome contribution though!!

  • This is a great restored instrument !!

Plays the amazing music ver well.

Thanks a lot for this movies.

  • I'm really impressed up to today I've heard only old recordings of Paderevski performings, which were quite bad quality, but had "this something", what was his power, his distinguishable way of playing going straight to your mind and heart... Thanks for that video.

  • @christophoros76 Paderewski wasn't focused on the piano when he was playing... but rather the line of communication between the heart, mind, and soul through the expression. It often sounds rough to the ear... but not to the soul... which by the way is the polar opposite of how most 'master's have ever played.

  • Wonderful video, I am deeply grateful, thank you one more time.

  • You are very welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
