The actual Sun tai-ji Fu family form has a great deal of coiling and Ba-Gua feel to it,...it doesn't look like the twine & wrap techiniques are used in this two-person form, which really does look like linking -hands from Xing-Yi Chwen. hen yi si',..very interesting. The first movement from the attacker can be tied up in a coiling movement & used like Chin-Na and Ba-Gua grappling as well,...all movements which are in the sun jya shi Fu jya fa lu. Si-Fu Mark
Yes, like Xingyi. Really I feel Sun shi Taijiquan (at least in the Fu Zhensong version that I practice with great pleasure, being so concordant with my Kungfu practice) is more Xingyi in percentual, followed by Taiji and, last, Bagua. So between the kinds of taiji I know, Sun shi TJQ is that one I prefer.
