Having seen nature shows, like Planet Earth, one knows the way sea particles and such move under water and can be affected by sea life, currents, and also any humans or robotics. The ROV could have been have too close and blowing sands up. The point later in the video, that the description cites, looks like sea life to me. the film quality just doesn't allow it to be clear what we are seeing. However, not a a bad find.

It could be that the well has released enough overpressure to be cappable now. IE three months later the pressure has equalized somewjat, allowing it to be contained.

I generaly belive that Matt Simmons is right, however he says the Blowout preventer & the well bore casing is gone. What are we seeing in the ROV live feed? Also I have not found the PSI Pressure readings since they closed valves. Does anybody know what the pressure (psi) is?

Speculating about an open hole based on what you've been hearing in your circle of experts is not LYING, even if it's never verified.
What should happen is some investigation, particularly by the uselessly complicit oil industry ad dollar loving media, to determine if there is or isn't one, instead of just BELIEVING that there couldn't be because none of the PR-focused sociopaths in BP or in the political establishment want to have a conversation about it.
They know that out of sight = out of mind for most people. As long as they don't say anything about it, most people will never know anything about it, and the media is not going to do any more than repeat the official line from BP and the White House.
If the public was largely aware of the POSSIBILITY of an open hole spewing 120,000 barrels (5mil gals) of oil a day a couple of miles from the only video feed they want us to see, people would be DEMANDING an investigation to confirm or disprove.

@MenaceFan It's simple math. Official estimates of the flow rate (which I'm sure can be calculated pretty accurately so why all the "guesses") were from 20,000 - 120,000 PSI. The cap they now have on is holding 9,000 PSI. Where's the rest? Unless you discount previous estimates. But then you have to discount all of the previous announcements. And present and future.
I'm just saying there's a major discrepency in the official story. That makes it as suspect as anyone elses story tome.

What was the estimated pressure coming out of the well to begin with (possibly 50,000 psi) and BP is saying that their new cap is rated at 9,000 psi. Having seen nature shows, like Planet Earth, one knows the way sea particles and such move under water and can be affected by sea life, currents, and also any humans or robotics. The ROV could have been have too close and blowing sands up. The point later in the video, that the description cites, looks like sea life to me. the film quality just doesn't allow it to be clear what we are seeing. However, not a a bad find.

one of the cams was pointed at a pressure gauge up until about 5.30pm before going away from that shot
up until midnite when i crashed there was no more footage of the pressure gauge that i saw

I generaly belive that Matt Simmons is right, however he says the Blowout preventer & the well bore casing is gone. What are we seeing in the ROV live feed? Also I have not found the PSI Pressure readings since they closed valves. Does anybody know what the pressure (psi) is?

During this disaster he has made numerous claims that are dubious at best such as the one in June that BP will be have to file for Chapter 11 within a month despite them being able to post a $20B claim fund. Again, just because they have been let of the hook to a certain extent, doesn't mean that Simmons was wrong, when this disaster COULD have bankrupted them if they had been forced to pay for what they have done.
Ultimately, they could be, but probably won't be.

@MenaceFan It's simple math. Official estimates of the flow rate (which I'm sure can be calculated pretty accurately so why all the "guesses") were from 20,000 - 120,000 PSI. The cap they now have on is holding 9,000 PSI. Where's the rest? Unless you discount previous estimates. But then you have to discount all of the previous announcements. And present and future.
I'm just saying there's a major discrepency in the official story. That makes it as suspect as anyone elses story tome.

I don't usually post comments but in this case I feel something is wrong. I agree with Matt Simmons in that we are not getting all the information. What was the estimated pressure coming out of the well to begin with (possibly 50,000 psi) and BP is saying that their new cap is rated at 9,000 psi. Someone is lying AGAIN and I strongly believe that it is BP as well as the US gov't

@BlkRam1500 i heard numbers approx. 75,000psi, but that was from a media source (can't remember who) so it may not be accurate.

If Matt Simmons is lying, he should be prosecuted. I wonder if he is shorting BP stock or just has a personal vendetta against BP.

Hey Tony why don't you tell BP to prosecute Matt? Lets imagine how it will happen. BP boss files a law suit against Matt. Investigation begins.Submerin goes down the ocean floor and Bingo!!! we all are watching live the crack of the ocean floor and oil is gushing through and from that blown up whole as well. And its not 5000 barrel but it is 120000 barrel a day!! and the water is contaminated with dispersant,millions of dead fish journalists all around!! CNN showing it 24/7 like osama face.good?

@partridgecaravan I sent a message to BP's YouTube channel asking why they aren't filing a "Cease and Desist" lawsuit against Matt Simmons for making up BS about the company. Let's see what happens. I'm not a defender of BP. I think Matt Simmons if full of sh*t. If there was a leak in the ocean floor of 120,000 barrels per day, Obama would use it to pass Cap and Trade.

@BYBB123 Everyone else that had been in the water says ir's hazy and murky and hard to see, but at the wellhead it's crystal clear. I would say the water would be murky there was well and you would think even worse. Something tells me they are lying.
