  • at 5:30 why not knight d3 check forking king and bishop

  • for instance because of 21. ...Nd3+ 22. Rxd3 and if 22. ...cxd3 then something like 23. Nxb7 or 23. Ne4 both seem to work.

  • so simple, but i didnt see that combo, thanx

  • 6:14 Kingscrusher you gave me a heart attack!! But somehow you manage to spot your blunders at the last second.

  • exiting game.

  • nice & just out of curiosity how does one earn those IM and GM tags on icc?? anyone know

    Kingscrusher needs one!

  • If you have a FIDE-title in real life you get one on ICC by proving it.

  • Nc1 was sheerly brilliant, especially with the preparation of Bc5. Crazy GM powers. Congrats on the win, however; you certainly earned it.

  • lol no he didnt! he was getting crushed that game, but thats blitz for ya

thats 1 more win over a GM than ill ever get congratz kingscrusher

  • Gee I wish a GM would blunder for me D:

  • Maybe when you can get to move 20, one will.

  • True!!

  • he beat you up with a vicious set of tactics, then got completely over excited and thought the win was secured, blundered his position away and resigned. 5 min chess for you! :)

  • Hmm, apparently black was better after Nd3 + when White had played Bc5 :

Jesper - KingsCrusher, ICC 5 0 Internet Chess Club 2009

    r1N2k1r/1p2qpb1/n3p1pp/p1B1n3/P1p5/5N1Q/1P3PPP/3RK2R b K - 0 1

    Analysis by Rybka 2.3 mp 32-bit :

    1. ³ (-0.55): 22...Nd3+ 23.Rxd3 Nxc5 24.Nxe7 Nxd3+ 25.Kf1

    2. ± (0.72): 22...Nxc5 23.Nxe7 Ned3+ 24.Kf1 Nxb2 25.Nxg6+ fxg6 26.Rc1

    3. ± (0.92): 22...Rxc8 23.Bxe7+

  • Sorry I mean the above after White played the seemingly lethal Nc8 move. The resource Nd3 is apparently good for black on brief analysis.

  • KC, you were about a millisecond away from letting go of your queen onto that bishop and getting mated, then 5 seconds later you pull out the Ye Ole Blunderbuster

  • who's a happy boy? :)

  • Is it Lars 'Lasse' Karlsson? He is in swedens most popular newspaper with a chess column thing. Nice job beating him!

  • Yups, the one and only.

on a side-note, it's gotta be said, even though Rybka doesn't agree, the Nc8-tactic was quite awesome for a 5-minute game!

  • whoa, I actually saw that Bc5, Nc8 with threat of Rd8 mate almost instantly. That was rare, but that was an amazing catch on your part. He must have been so intent on winning the queen that he forgot about his own position. Your in between check was awesome! Cg on the win KC and thanks for sharing.

  • :) I think your name will start ringing a bell among rapid players. I have to wonder though what Jesper intended with Ke2??.

  • ehh... I don't believe that, I am currently on summer holiday and thouroughly enjoying these, everyone doesn't have to watch them all, and if you aren't able to watch them as fast as he KC produces, then at least there's sth for rainy days.

  • a) Subscribe to KC's channel.

    b) Create a folder in your favourites entitled "KC's 5's".

    c) Store new videos there.

    d) watch at leisure.

  • The more videos the better!!

  • Soon u ll beat Magnus Carlsen KC soon!!!

  • Good job.Loosing a queen was a bit scary to watch though

  • Amazing game as always, thanks for all these games KC!
