seriously.. with all the reality shows today, and talent shows, and people at work being filmed shows, you would think a network would decide to revive this show.

it has action, showcases talent, and it has a bit of the reality tv element to it.

How did this not have the ratings to be a huge hit?

IMO, If they do bring it back, contestants must be asked to control their machines remotely over the internet requiring that they be able to see through their robot as well.

Also increase the field, create normal obstructions like rubble, sand, creeks and even narrow halls and doorways.

Allow airborne robotos.

Increase prize amount and ask the US Government to help fund the science in exchange for US military contracts.

i don't like flippers very much. is just seems like they completely rely on the opponent not being able to right themself. either that or they're afraid to damage the opponents bot.. if your going to make a flipper, make a good one that can do damage. if it can flip the opponent high up, the fall could be enough to jam the inner workings out of place.

I always felt like they should have made the traps a little more destructive. That hammer is a joke. They should have put 2 manual hammers on opposite sides of the arena and let people from each team use their own devices to smash the crap out of opponents.

i doubt they could've afforded multiple robots, which is why they wanted to minimize the destructive power.

this show would've done way better if robots actually got destroyed. fireworks, sparks, chainsaws etc

I agree, unless you had a really flimsy bot the hazards seemed like they were more for show than anything else.

I really like vlad's design from a defensive standpoint. It seems pretty sturdy and, obviously, flipping him over isn't gonna do anything. Offensively he's kind of boring but he gets the job done.
