Here in colorado there are around 15 hookah bars in the area, and about 10 of them use a hookah master at the table to keep little punks in check, the one that i work at has a hookah master at the tables. Usually we have like 5 people that get thier money back and leave in a week for bad ediquette. Hookah gets you buzzed slightly and relaxes you. The buzz isn't as strong as a cigarette, but its fun to smoke because of the quantity of smoke from a well-made/setup hookah, and because its a social experience. Also, if you find that you get headaches a lot when you been smoking hookah, it's because you need to let the coals burn until you cannot see the black coating, you need to let the coals air out before placing it onto the head. Blowing on the coals gets em hot and helps warm the shisha.

Why does everyone refer to the substance that is smoked as "hookah"? The hookah is the pipe, the tobacco is called Shisha.

Hookah gets you buzzed slightly and relaxes you. The buzz isn't as strong as a cigarette, but its fun to smoke because of the quantity of smoke from a well-made/setup hookah, and because its a social experience. Also, if you find that you get headaches a lot when you been smoking hookah, it's because you need to let the coals burn until you cannot see the black coating, you need to let the coals air out before placing it onto the head. Blowing on the coals gets em hot and helps warm the shisha.

Haha, they suck at smoking hookers. You should inahle it like air, as much as possible. After that keep it in your lungs, close your eyes and rotate your head till you run out of air. Then blow the (now) small quantity of smoke. After that you should be dizzy like hell. You could also add vodka/whatever to the water. It might fuck your hooker up, but it's worth a try, because it fucks you up too.

Pot, if smoked, does cause lung irritation. So the worst affliction you could get is bronchitis.(so far as studies/medical journals are concerned).
There's also thought's about "triggering" schizophrenia in people who have a predisposition for the condition. (Meaning: runs in the family/probably going to develop anyway.)
Kind of lasting effects.
(Pot smoker here, so there little to no hypocrisy in this post ^_^)

its fine to inhale especially compared to cigarettes....eww... hookah smoke is filtered through water in the base, water is extremely efficient at filtering out the tar and other nasty things in the smoke, watch the video on here where they pull cigarette smoke through a water bottle set up like a hookah and see how the water takes it all out its really quite amazing

yeah thats fine if ur lighting quicklights because nothing you do will really improve the taste of them. now if ur lighting natural wood lump charcoal the only way to light it effectively would be a good old fashioned charcoal can lighter. one that you put the coals in and hold over another wood fire. honestly people always rip on the quicklights and yeah they're not great, but they're cheap and they work pretty well, but i guess if you wanna e a purist you have to use the natural wood ones.
