Love these guys. My friend dated Jon for a couple of years so I used to go with her and keep her company. The guys were always nice. Don't get me wrong, they were wild and did the usual "rock stuff" but they were really cool and nice to all their fans. I miss those days. I wish Lillian Axe had made it big because they earned it and they worked their asses off playing all over supporting the music. Even though the only original member is Steve, I'm glad to see the music is still getting played.
Stevie Blaze is one of the best guitarist you'll ever experience live bar none. If Pantera were to ever reunite (which is not likely) He would be my choice as guitarist. He's not Dime, no one is, but he'd fit right in. Just my 2.5 cents.
@SayMoorePlease1 they didn't have a a manager with any connections and they were signed to record label that didn't care about them. that's why they didn't make it ===it was all about the biz end
dont believe me, ill post a vid w/ him in it he's bald now so he won't have hair just go to my channel in about a day or 2 maybe even today ill start right now if my camera will start
Hey Honkytonkbuffalo..You go way back..you mention a lot of great bands that should have had more reconition. Long live 80's metal..Still have Keel on Vinyl...How bout Rough Cutt? Remember them?
Lillian Axe is still one of my all time favorite bands. I always leaned more towards the under rated bands. Lillian Axe, Keel, Black N' Blue, Dangerous Toys, etc. But L.A. always stood out. Something about the combination of Stevie's guitar sound, and Ron's voice that just made them one of the best bands from the 80s/90s. Nice guys too. Met them at a acoustic show/in store. Very genuine, nice, and humble. Incredible band, incredible song, awesome video. Cheers.
This badn was so awesome live, and they were sweet guys to talk to. They were definitely underrated! Ron Taylor was the BOMB as a singer and a frontman-clear, strong vocals and a kickass stage presence. Sigh.
This song is as good as anything that was put out durung this period. This band could and should have been as big as anyother group. Reocrd labels suck and so does Nirvana.
Yeah nirvana is terrible, and hey look at the brite side, theyre so underground that they wont be on gaytar-queero thats a plus, this bands the real deal no posers on this video! yay!
The video was a blast to film. It actually had to be shot twice because of problems with the camera. A great band and a good time making this video. The band blazed and the chicks were hot.
Lillian Axe definately IMO would have been bigger than Bon Jovi if given more exposure. They are the best overlooked band in the metal era. And let's not forget how hot these guys are, especially Ron Taylor... Yummy!!!
As far as I'm concerned, this was one of the best pieces of music to come out of the end of the so called arena rock (hair band) era in the late 80's and early nineties. Lillian Axe was easily the most under-rated, and under-played band in recorded time. Thankfully, I " discovered" them, when they first aired this video on MTV's headbangers ball, and have been listening to them ever since. What a rich musical legacy they have left us serious rock music fans. Waters Rising is also a great album.
Totally agree, Lillian Axe got the shaft big time. What a great band, "Love and War" and "Poetic Justice" are two of the best hard rock recordings I've had the pleausure of listening to.
yet another great overlooked band from the metal era. damn shame, they deserved so much more. again, mtv and radio dropped the fuckin' ball! all axe's stuff is well worth the cash, especially love and war, the cd that this video /song is from. seriously people check this band out you won't be disappointed!
i love this song thanks for posting the video i used to have the video on tape but itaped over it >.> stupid me but thanks for posting it i love this song and Lillian Axe ^^
