Wii of the phone world? Don't get me wrong because I enjoy the Wii, but that statement isn't too accurate.

I think the iPhone is more like the PS3 or 360 of the iPhone is this expensive, high-tech, multi-fuctional device and that doesn't really describe the Wii. (Especially the expensive part =P) That description of the iPhone sounds much more like the PS3 or the 360.

Just telling my opinions. =P

hey. I live in europe and both Europe and Japan have better phones.

EDGE is just SOO LAST week... on some phones in Europe and Japan you can even do VIDEOCALLS!

MP3 players are on phones for a WHILE - was on my Nokia like 3 years ago! I was able to use the internet too... Ok there is Google maps, but you can get some phones that have real GPS, and some that download maps on the go as well...

I live in Europe too... and I have an iPhone. Just forget everything you experienced with any other phone... I have a 3G phone (SE P990i) who has videocall, I jut never used it as I never used 3G. I am usually under Wi-Fi 85% of my time, so who cares about 3G???

I'll stick with my 4gig ipod nano, Sprint RZR, and my Nintendo DS Lite w/ Browser or PSP. Attractive interface the iphone has but otherthan that WAY TOO MANY RESTRICTIONS for a $400 - 600 mobile device.

I can't wait to get rid of my iPod, Blackberry, and Camera. I will be one of those in line on Friday. I just put up a bunch of iPhone how to videos and a Squidoo page. Just to be clear I have always been a windows guy and I agree with Chris about iTunes but the pluses outweigh the minuses here. I will be dropping Nextel and my Blackberry on Friday. The iphone isnt a PDA it doesnt have alot of the functionality that other pda's like the treo have. the iphone will not be able to sync with outlook. and the internet service that at&t has right now is the same as verizon's 1x service. Apple approached Verizon first but verizon turned it down because apple didnt want to wait until all the product testing was done. I think its a great concept but at the price its gonna be hard for at&t to make much lead way in the market

Please... Everyone uses a spoon to eat their yogurt because it does what it's meant to do. Over 100,000 use iPods because they do what they are meant to do. I never used an iPhone, they are out yet. But I can't argue that it doesn't look cool and appears designed for natural input. Apple didn't with the iPod, people will go to a store to see if they did it with the iPhone too. That sheep statement is just immature at this stage.

in the UK modlie phones come out on allnetworks part from 1 or to but in the end they go oon all networks apple will have to let every mobile phone company in the UK have the iphone or the phonecompany 3 because 3 uses 100% full 3G network

This device shows innovation. Without seeing actual specs, I'm already drooling. The caveat, I dislike iTunes as well. It features a great configurable graphic interface, so I'll no longer be limited to tiny buttons and an unintuitive menu system.

the only reason why it's going to sell is because it's made by apple. if any company copied it and improved all the downfalls, it still won't beat out the iphone. it's only going to sell because of the letter "i" in front of phone.
