ya know, im a skier and ive hit 70 mph, but these people are crazy as hell, some guys would stand in the warming shack to warm their runners up and make em run faster (obviously not in competition) i would be taking sandpaper to my runners and pouring liquid nitrogen on them
@leafsfan234 ACTUALLY luge is the fastest sliding sport. top speed is 159 in whistler. bobs only go 140-150. skeletons around there I think, but not as fast as luge. Lrn to wikipedia. Also, I do luge so I know. But you are right for the other two because if we dont steer RIGHT, then its ouch time. It doesn't help that when we look we lose speed. Also, Luge is the most dangerous because of that. In a related note, my topspeed is 132 kph in whistler. Check my helmet cam (actually bodycam)
@pinkfantasy00 yea. a guy died practicing just before the olympics started this year. think about it. if you fuck up and go off track, your head will hit something going over 60 mph.
My god I be scared out my wits trying this the most I would get on is a roller coaster. I give poeple credit for this especially to be skill to do this wow
yeap but when we all are learning.. that sucks!! haha cuz sometimes you go to fast or make a wrong move and then you are on the other side of the line u suppose to be and then u star to get crazy...
no i don't luge in calgary i do Skeleton in Whistler tho. I was going to do the driver training for Skeleton but i've been sick most of november with pneumonia so i don't have any energy to do the training. Next winter there is 2 driver traning rather then just the one this year. Next year tho i hope i'm not sick or injured and can do the training!
Nope cause i just went on the Whistler track doing Luge and even though i started about 3 or 4 cornors away from the end i still got up to 70-80km/h and if you start from the start you can get up to 150km/h on a lufe or skeliton so no i don't think its sped up
that music dosent work with it

well yeah its dangerous but even dangerous its the luge cuz its faster...
ARMANDOPING 2 years ago
@ARMANDOPING well actually luge is slower but its harder to steer because your going feet first and skeleton is the safest of the 3 ice track sports

StevenSupernatural 2 years ago
Skeleton is Face First, Luge is Feet first on your back.
Bobsleigh is usally 2 people and their in a big sled thats covered.

Would it be possible to go down bobsleigh track with speed skating ice skates?
Zuconja 3 years ago
no you would have too much control
stiffysnithy 3 years ago
its being done in Quebec Canada but not on Bobsleigh tracks as they are way to fast but tracks simular to bobsleigh tracks.
swisscosmo 2 years ago
