This Mini 12 doesn't sit well on your lap due to a design flaw where the base is the same weight as the screen....so the laptop will fallback if place on your lap.
I think you have an option of either getting it in Ubuntu or XP. Also when Windows 7 comes out hopefully many of the RAM-woes of Vista would be alleviated.
If i was to play ROBLOX i would need XP service pack 2+ or vista. But i think Dell Should make this computer better by making the hard drive 128 SSD like the macbook air, The RAM 2GB like pro laptops and the prosser: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz 800MHZ FSB while the price at $695 tax included in Canada and USA but this Price Would not be possable due to Costly SSD and ram and Intel.

And start up is slow because of the extremely slow hard drive speed at only 4200 RPM, my NC10 runs so much faster because of my 2GB RAM upgrade and the fact that my hard drive spins at a decent speed: 5400 RPM, i just fell really bad if hanatachan actually bought this, I hope somebody just bought it for you. But just change the OS and it should really speed everything up
We loaded Kaspersky Anti-Virus on our Mini-12, and it slowed down considerably. It even struggles to open new IE windows in Vista. We are very disappointed in this, and are returning it. The 1 Gig limit and Vista make this machine a serious disappointment. So sad, because it's really a gorgeous design with much potential.
does it have a place to put in cds?

Why would you even try running vista with only 1gb of ram. Netbooks come with XP and ubuntu for a reason.

I have Mini 12 with XP and it's running fine. My friend has Mini 12 with Vista and it runs like a snail.

Got the description wrong. That's a Sub-notebook. It has a 12" screen. The Mini 9, on the other hand, is a Netbook because it has a 9" screen.
