These guys are Tech Death, there isn't any grind in their sound. Cosmic isn't a genre trait so it's just a word. Broken Hope were one of the inventors of BDM. But Origin could be considered BDM because of their constant use of palm muted slams and breakdowns, the vocals are more typical Death Growls but at some points get pretty guttural. My point is-Technical Cosmic Death Grind is NOT the genre Origin fall under, however it'd be cool to hear a band under that banner!

Love the construction of this song! Especially the chorused treatment of single words at beginning and between about 4:15-4:25. The basswork and progmetal ending is really cool too. Gotta say I'm embarrassed for the band having to show leg (after a matter of speaking) in the finite vid. The vox is practically being directed to do a spread shot (AAMOS). Way out of character! Though if it gets them a lil more out of poverty and makes the anselmo dweebs notice 'em...ah but scifi visuals pleeeease?!

its all a bit faster, and the guitars are a bit more trebley and less bassy, plus brought forward in the mix (so they sound like the foreground, not behind the vocals). Also - the songs structures are more deathgrind than their old albums. they had a bit more metal influence in em.
