The lyrics are from the 1966 Hammer Film Production "The Witches". It stars Joan Fontaine. The lead witch at the end sings the spell "cut her from toe to earlobe, give me your skin, for dancing in..." as the witch attempts to place her evil soul in the body of a young girl gone missing from town....Joan figures out at the last moment how to defeat the evil witch. Great flick. So much so, the banshees used it to promote a anti-fur message very well.....

Whatever we say will fall short of reality...this performance is simply entrancing! HAIL HAIL SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES! McGeogh was great, Siouxsie was at her best!

Such an incredible line up this one was! McGeoch was such a pioneer, people are just now realizing! Siouxsie's voice is at is most during this year in 1981. Also everyone pls purchase Nocturne on DVD. Though I'd love to own a copy of McGeoch before he left. Does this show exist on dvd for purchase anyone know? transfixxed.

Powerful lyrics. Animal activist Siouxsie delivers an excellent performance for this classic tune. This is one of my favorites...cover me with skin and accuse me of sin....give me your skin for dancing in.
