  • When i first heard this, I couldn't stop listening o.o

  • :O

    NICE!

  • You have a key board and still make this song come alive! Nice job, man!

  • @HuskyDog31 Thanks

  • What a nice song !!

love your style with playing this song

  • @Lyngyr Thanks :)

  • the "link" says FU .....

  • @NGFreaks What?

  • @interlinkknight /watch?v=scc9I9U-1(FU)&lc=IpVAq0oLTcjjm317MUxgIRYf_mIne2t9sjriiM8TvKw&feature=inbox

  • @NGFreaks Ah, lol.

  • That was amazing! Way to go!

  • Hey that was spectacular...i play the piano myself and im working on that song

    nice basework too...

  • @limacharlie6 Thank you very much. Good luck learning the song

  • Excellent work.

  • You play better version than some of the piano rolls for player pianos.

  • @canadaguy1982 Thanks

  • what a beautiful song. what piano are you playing on?

  • @HuskyDog31 Casio WK-1300

  • i mean 1:27

  • @TheMrdudeguy101 Yes, I know. What could I do, start over? I am too lazy for that.

  • you messed up 1:16

  • COOL

  • Wow that's soooo good!!!!

  • Haha, the pianist cant type worth a shit, look at the description.

  • @sniper133t English is not my primary language so be understandable about my bad english.

And you can be more constructive by correcting me specifically what I type wrong.

  • @interlinkknight It is understandable that you fail by being on an English speaking website.

  • @sniper133t Most people consider this kind of mistakes “fail” only if the people can’t understand what I write. If the mistake is not as big so you can still understand what I write, is a success. That's the point to write and speak.

  • @sniper133t Your ignorance is beyond belief. I hope you realize (though I presume you do not, or else you would not have typed such bullshit) that Youtube has an option to set language. A majority of vidoes are submitted in English, but it is not strictly "an English speaking website", or there would be no such option. Further, as quoted from your original comment, "haha" is not a word and "cant" is used incorrectly. So please, seek to fix your own mistakes before correcting others. Cunt.

  • I'm on my way I can only play right handed I'm still practicing left but am failing but good job

  • @latinstar345 Failing with the left hand? Are you a beginner?

Remember practicing in "slow motion". I mean, play very slow with the two hands. When you can play it correctly, is when you can go a little faster. And so on.

If you are a beginner, maybe playing this song like I do is too advanced for you.

  • this freakin blows my mind. Im pretty sure its a robot because this is just inhuman

  • @7heBoss Thanks, but come on. I am sure there are many pianists that can do a lot of more impressive things on the piano, with almost robotic precision. I am good, but not that good.

Thanks any way. I am glad that you enjoy the video.

  • Thanks for making this a great day ^^

  • bravo

  • I LOVE IT!!!

  • i wish i could play as well as you !

  • @gosiaparyz With practice, is absolutely possible.

BTW I learn to play piano by myself when I was 17 years old. If I can, everyone can.

  • @interlinkknight so you gave me a hope :)

  • thumbs up if you think this guy needs a real piano

  • @Ariton99993 That's funny. But don't worry, my keyboard is horrible but I do play a real grand piano in my job all the time.

  • @interlinkknight Ooh allright :) you deserve a real piano hehe

  • Thats effin awesome! Im teaching myself how to play just like you. I have a handful of great songs under my belt already. Your version of "Chariots of Fire" will be my next. I wont stop until I have it mastered! I have watched this video over and over to help me with the hand motions. Keep up the good work. GREAT WORK!

  • @corkster8888888888 That's cool! I am so glad I record this video. I really like to help people.

Remember that you can download the midi of this song recorded by myself. The link is on the description. That way you can play that midi on Synthesia (a freeware) and watch the notes to learn easily how to play this song.

    Good luck.

  • @interlinkknight I spent 3 hours last night working with the midi format of your song. I use a program called Able midi editor. I believe its very similar to the software you use. When you play, it sounds great but on the computer the midi file looks "choppy". I have been going through every single key strike and quantizing the begining of the notes so every note is synchronized. Once this is complete I will be able to learn it much faster. Thanks! Keep up the good work :)

  • @corkster8888888888 3 hours? You are learning this song like I do with classical music, exactly note by note. Luckily for you this song is relatively easy. For example I spend like 7 hours learning the 1st movement of Moonlight sonata by Beethoven. It can be exhausting but at the end it worth it.

Is curious how we always start playing a new song like a total beginner, but in a few days we can play the same song like a pro. That’s the power of practice, although you already know that.

    Take care

  • This is awesome......really good work!!!!!!

  • @sharmasbhanu1 Thanks. You are very kind

    Take care

  • I like you version better then the sheet music!

  • @danielh35 Thanks. I am glad

  • @xImperialdramonFM No. Why should I?

  • We have a bit in common. I also have a Casio WK except its the 200 model not the 1300. I also taught myself by ear for about half a year and plan on it for the rest of my life. Good to see more like you around man.

  • @OMGClayAikken I am glad. Keep with that.

I've seen that self-taught pianist can be, in many ways, better than most formal students of piano. That's why I discard the option to get in to a school of music. They are so unnecessarily strict, and make too much emphasis to read sheet-music. And I prove that read sheet music is not really necessary to be a good pianist.

BTW I am a professional pianist. This video only show the tip of the iceberg for what I can do.

    Take care...

  • @xImperialdramonFM Singapore.

I cheat, is on your channel

  • @xImperialdramonFM I live in Venezuela, close to brazil, so yes, is true.

    Internet is a wonderful thing

  • @xImperialdramonFM If you want to learn this song, don't match the video to learn the notes, instead download Synthesia and open the midi file for this song that I upload on my webpage (of course is free). The links are in the description of this video.

Synthesia will show you note-by-note and you can pause or slow down everything as you want.

I even have a video in my channel call: "Learn to read music for piano without sheet, using MIDI" that shows what I mean with midi

    Good luck.

  • DAM, WOW.... That is GOOD! Wish someday I can play like you! Thank you!!!

  • @Jodbronson You are so kind. Thanks.

Remember that I record the MIDI of this song so you can watch exactly how I play it (note-by-note). The link is on the description.

Use Synthesia to open the MIDI and watch the notes so you can learn how to play this song like I do.

  • nice

  • The Chariots of fire is the most powerful music!! I love it. :D

  • its very nice

did you use your homemade substainpedal for that?

  • Yes, of course. I've been using my homemade pedal for many years, and it still works very well.

  • great

i am considering of making one of my own alsow if it is that simple.

you just connect to cables to a xlr- jack?

do you make your switch normal closed or normal open?

  • Is very simple, but the connector for the pedal on my keyboard is a TRS connector jack plug 1/4″, not a XLR connector. First you need to make sure that this is the kind of pedal your keyboard use. What brand and model is your keyboard?

When the pedal is pressed the switch close the circuit; when you release the pedal the switch is open.

  • its a yamaha psr E 223

  • The Yamaha PSR-E223 use the FC4 or FC5 sustain pedals, that are the same kind of pedal that my keyboard use. Look closely the back-side of your keyboard, the connector for the pedal is a TRS connector jack plug 1/4″.

Find a jack plug mono or stereo (if is stereo, connect one cable to the tip contact and the other cable to the larger contact, ignore the middle contact), and try closing the circuit. Don't worry, is safe for the keyboard and for yourself (the voltage is very low).

  • thank you very much!

if it works ill let you know :)

  • You are welcome.

    Good luck

  • Great job!

  • Thanks. I basically copy what I hear from Richard Clayderman version.

  • I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. can you please pass me the music sheet ? it's really important to me

  • Read the info of this video to get the links to download the MIDI of this song.

    I don't use sheet music.

  • This is really good.
