The moment you announced that there would be no demons, that the only weapons would all be katanas, and that the game would be more story-based, you lost all respect. I love stealth but not in games it doesn't belong, cuz most of the time the game engine that was made for god of war, for example doesn't allow you to sneak how you'd like, nowadays stealth is another word for "walking around people and backstabbing them", but i miss the time when people made great stealth games where not being stealthy would be your death ( for example Splinter cell: Chaos Theory )

The stealth needs work. He's a ninja he should be amazing at stealth WITHOUT smoke. Seriously the combat's great but the makers need to get with the times when it comes to stealth.

To an extent I agree that when you're a ninja you MUST have stealth, so a bit of stealth would not hurt on pivotal missions. But you have to remember, Ryu is the SUPER friggin ninja, meaning he has lightning reflexes allowing him to dodge machine gun fire, or simply slice bullets out of the sky. He lifts and runs faster 10x that of an average human, if he's not bordering on super-human or passed that level he's pretty damn close. Take Superman give him a sword and you'd get Ryu basically

What's wrong with stealth? Isn't stealth a important for a ninja to have? I mean yes it is cool to hack and slash everyone to bits, like how it has been done in the other games, but stealth adds a whole new variety in this game. And personally I love being able to clear a room full of guards without anyone noticing me, just seems more badass that way. But if you guys don't want to stealth it up then fine. You can run up and hack and slash, just be careful not to eat to many motors when you do.

@akatsukiOrg13 You do realize this is not stealth, right? I agree, stealth is a more badass way to clear a room then to go out guns blazing, but, to put it simply, this sad excuse of a gameplay mechanic is NOT stealth. Refer to Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory for stealth.

@UltraredM There are games that do have better stealth mechanics than this gameplay that we see right now, I do agree with that. But I do think this gameplay could be classified as stealth. The enemies can't see you and if you run you can give away your position. Not the best stealth mechanic I've seen, but who knows maybe later in the game ryu will be hiding on the celling picking off guards, guess we'll just have to find out later.

I just commented on another video wondering when the hell is someone gonna give us a PROPER ninja game that's got steath like Splinter Cell and combat as good as (but more realistic) Ninja Gaiden. No silly monsters, either.

Wether the developers chose to go down the traditional or set in modern times route- if done properly, imagine what a game that could be....

It has no negative effect on the overall game whatsoever considering it doesn't force you to use stealth at all.

Also, I didn't know slaughtering people in such a noisy way then getting gunned down by mortars is stealth, though given Splinter Cell Conviction and the new "Metal Gear RISING", it seems that Stealth nowadays is more about shooting your way through and slaughtering in quick ninja action, instead of actually being... stealthy.
