The scene was followed by Rick Moranis saying, "I'm bringing this up at the next tenants meeting. There's not supposed to be any pets in the building!" LOL
I dont think the blond (Jean Casem) , her character, commited suicide, It could be a very small 2 foot landing out of that window, that she went out on.
Because no one else dies in this movie, its not that type of movie, like what Poltergeist was. This one isnt that scary & is aimed more at kids. So I dont think the writers intended that.
When I first saw this movie, I thought from 0:49-0:51 that Rick Moranis was jumping off a bridge, but when I visited New York and went on a horse buggy, the driver of the horse buggy was passing by the apartment on this movie and he showed me the same exact wall that Rick Moranis jumped over. I also did visit Central Park, however, I never saw the restaurant that the dog/demon cornered Rick Moranis. (I'm not sure if it's still in Central Park or if it went out of business and got replaced).
I agree. He was great on that movie. He was also great in "Spaceballs", "Parenthood", "Honey I Shrunk The Kids", "Honey I Blew Up The Kid", "Honey We Shrunk Ourselves", "The Flintstones", "Little Giants", and of course, the first two Ghostbuster movies. It's too bad that Rick Moranis is now a retired actor.
My guess is that as soon as the dog jumped out of the bedroom at 0:21, the guy fell back onto the chair and I guess if the dog came close to him, he would throw the chair at the dog.
@Shotgunner56 I think it's up to the viewer's imagination - I like to think it knocks him out (unconscious) then sort of phases into him, like you said. :)
It didn't show it but, the dog is inside his body and controlling his body (on the outside, his name is Louis Tully and on the inside where the dog is, the dog's name is Vinz Clortho). By the way, the actors name is Rick, not Vick.
Yes it does sound like that where Audrey 2 was friends with him and it looks and feels like the dog/demon wanted to be friends with Rick Moranis here too.
This was always my favorite scene of the movie. LMFAO the first time, LMFAO now. Whenever I think about it it's hilarious. But this isn't the complete scene. When he's cornered at the restaurant and everyone looks up for a sec and then keeps eating once that thing has him. Man! THat's killer. Just like NY too. NOthing phases those folks. LOL.
scariest thing I could come up with when I was 8
