I live in Buzet and flying for 10 years, in this derection of wind we never fly. Not even with tandem :) . I was always thinking that German pilots are smarter... Or even maybe to ask someboy lokal is it ok to fly, not only to go on starting place without even call and inform somebody. And after something happends then we have to go on police and explain why did it happend...
@EllyMcCormack: No, never! If you stop launching and sit too, the glider will overtake and go down. If you force launching, you have to push the passenger against its resistance, (need al lot of strength). It is much saver zu brake up a launch then to get airborned with a slow, weak glider. Speed of the system carries, nothing else. Reasons for the accident - wind to slow and coming from a wrong direction, no support of the passenger while launching, weightshift of passenger to the wrong side

it´s right - the passenger stops going forward at the edge.
the pilot was reaking with too much brakes, instead of pushing the glider at the raisors. most of the passengers stop in this fatal moment, and every tandempilot is better off to do tandemflights on spots, where there is still a possibility to break a up a start when the passenger is akting in a way like in this vid. just sit down behind your passenger, so is the danger of getting injured smaller :-)
strange launch site. Where is the wind indicator? And why is the pilot braking that much? This way the glider cannot fly. Poor passenger - will probably never come close to a similar flying instrument any more. - Anyway, why does it say "GERMAN PARAGLIDER CRASH" - I can't see anything related to Germany in this video.
