CH-47 Chinook landing and taking off at ERAU

I was there. Me and a few other guys were standing way too close, by a guy we though was just watching. Turns out he was actually a Master Sergent in plain cloths. Anyway, when it took off, pivoted the props down, we were blown off our feet and back about 10 feet. I weighed more and didn't go very far, but the other guys with me were blown into the drainage ditch.

of what? it landing at school?

they do this kind of thing every year for ROTC so i guess they can get some training. sometimes they bring in blackhawks or F-18's and other jets.
