I miss the Schumacher/Hakkinen rivalry, the only man to truly challenge Schumacher at his peak and the only one he ever feared. Today theres so much quality in the field but I preferred when it was two men rising above the rest, this race in particular demonstrated their superiority, 0.5sec per lap faster than their teammates, who were no slouches, pretty much every lap. Too bad Hakkinen took a few years longer than Schumacher to reach his peak, this coulda been going for 10 yrs instead of 3!!

This title means so much more than the other four he won with Ferrari, I can't describe it. I remember watching this race, after the dissapointment of 97, 98 and 99, and just being beyond joyed.
