not if you've already jailbroken your iphone or ipod. Go to cydia and download "BossPrefs". Once you have it go into bossprefs and hit "Extras" then "Disable apple killswitch". After thats done, apple cant block your iphone with the kill switch. This doesn't, however, prevent bricking and other software related problems that may cause your phone to lock up.

Hey i have had installous 2.0.1 for 3 days and today i went to download a game and it wont show anything after the opening screen, i have heard this happens sometimes so what can i do? delete it and re-install? Will it delete all my games?

That happened to me and when I opened Installous this morning it said that the server got flooded and it will cost 500 dollars a month to keep it running because they have to get two more servers running. They are asking for donations and are unable to run Installous until they receive that money. Intallous is shut down until further notice.

if you do not know what ur doing, like jailbreaking and what not, you could "brick" your ipod which makes it inactive and potentially freezes it so it cant be used. But thats if u REALLY dont know what your doing. but after u jailbreak it, then no, there is really no way to mess up your ipod. so No it cannot break ur ipod and this is the best way so far, yes.

and when u opened the app and it couldnt be opened, there is some sort of error that i do not know how to fix... sorry =(

Actually, you can't really brick it. You can think its bricked, but its only really a mode where it doesn't want to be touched...you just gotta touch it in the right places if ya know what I mean xD

But seriously, you can't brick it. Never. Kernel > firmware. Firmware can't touch kernel. Kernel is God; kernel can't be bricked. Unless, though, you get a hold of one of the dev team's tools or build your own that can access the kernel, in which you will be hated, or really, really pissed off.

hey guys, ok so far I myself haven't really had the problem of downloading and app and having it not be on my ipod itself, so idk how to really fix that problem but it seems someone in the comments below knows how. I have noticed that the toybot diaries games, when downloaded and opened it crashes idk how that can get fixed, i know it has to do with some sort of error in the programming to make it free so thats kinda hard to fix. and finally, ALWAYS CLICK ON **"INSTALL"** dont click on download

But I need some help. When I install certain apps(any Toy Bot games, Rolando, Tap Tap Dance, etc.) they crash on the start up. Ive tried fixing permissions, restarting,and respringing, but they always crash. Any fixes? I'm on 2.1 btw.

I discovered how to solve this :). TWO THINGS: you need to downlod "mypatch", AND you have to got a iTunes/Apple Store Account AND download a FREE application, ANY. That was the most difficult one, because when I was registering, I put "United States" and it didn't show in a step as payment method "any", I had to use Argentina. When I wanted to download the free app "pacman lite" it said it wasn't available in my country, so I had to download another thing (I don't remember)

I did what I said above :P. download "mypatch" through Cydia, and install it. Create a apple store account (registered to your real country), download any FREE app from Apple store (from the iPhone). Now, you will download something from Installous and the icon will show up =D

I have a problem, when I download the app it doesn't show on iPhone's menu (or desktop, springboard or whatever). I've tried all:

reinstalling installous, downloading "mypatch", downloding respiring and BossPrefs.

The f*ckin icon doesn't want to show. What can I do???????????????????. Oh btw, I've got iPhone (not the 3G, the older one) with firmware 2.2 (jailbroken and stuff by WinPWN lastest version).

u may want to re-installing installous 2.0, That problem has been happening to a few people in other videos i've seen.

thats really all i can think of? make sure ur pressing install and not download when it comes to that point to pick either "Install" or "Download" like the Green Download button or the Red Install Button, always click on the Red Install button. thats all i can think of man, hope that works. =/

u have to remove appshare completely, and the old installous. then download the new installous itself.

then shut down ur ipod and turn it back on.

the same problem was happening with me tho, and all i did was uninstall installous 2.0, then re-install it and shutdown and turn my ipod back on and it open and closed a few times then i opened it and it worked so idk? just keep opening and closing it until it works i guess i really dont know what else to tell ya man =(
