Sam, Thought I'm the only person who would have smiled after listening to my manager's words "we have no other option, but to ask you to resign", I was working for one of the worlds biggest companies as a Marketing Officer for past 5 years... having all the responsibilities, being the only son to support my family... getting married in next few months... I was all cool and the only thing I said was "such is life, and then we die" . somehow now I realized that I was not doing what I am born for.

It is a sad there are so many motivational slime balls out there, the commercial ones I mean they are sickenning. I won't mention names. This young man however has made the absolute perfect point for all Americans to remember right now. We are in a harshly competitive system like it or not. My fiance lost her job yesterday as a bank manager for the past 20 years. She has been crying consistently. I shared with her the time is now to celebrate the start of a new beginning. Last night we celebrated and partied until 3AM. I am also a bank manager and I told her that she is truly the lucky one! She always wanted to open a Thrift store. We have enough money to do it so i told her that with her manager experience, she has all that is needed to make it happen!

At the moment I am under suspension from my BAR JOB IN A PUB!!! It's the worst place that I ever worked in. The pub is in Mayfair in London, England and the clientele are the most aggressive, hostile, misrable, soul-destroying people I have ever encountered. I was accused of being rude to people who were really hostile to me. I am innocent but the bosses go with the customer and not the staff. I am an actor without an agent. Pain is in my gut, but that shall pass. The negatives shall pass.

Hi Sam,

I was one who used to love my JOB, I was making a difference in people's lives. Then I became ill and lost my JOB . Now bed bound for over 3yrs but I will not give up. I know there is something out there for me and with your inspirations I know I will figure it out.

I am told to accept life as it is, ie, in a bed where all is done for me, nice thought for a short while, no cooking, no cleaning etc haha

I need to start moving against all odds set by the doctors.

I am very passionate about sales and I am in the Army right now witl almost 11 yrs in I am also a Mortgage Development Rep and I love it I just dont get clients as much as I need to move up. I have being having some of them but for any reason they change their mind. I love the sales but I dont know whats wrong with me I can get it right. Thanks for this terrific reminder!! I am a teacher - still have my J-O-B (22 years in junior high!!) - but it's never been my PASSION! I have several passions - it's just hard to narrow it down to the one I want to concentrate on now! - but theater is one (both acting and play writing). And TODAY I am going to a play writing workshop -as well as acting in a play this very weekend! - I know I am very blessed to be able to be involved in several things I really love! Sam...I am so glad I found you!!! My twin sister lost her strawberry farm a year ago. This was really tough as she has chronic pain and has difficulty working outside the home. I am not extending my contract. The Executive Director came to me today and asked if I really want to leave- he wants to keep me. I said Sorry, I really want to do this. he said ok but if it doesn't work out I want u back. That reads more money but instead I am going to brewing school FINALLY! My Dream! I'm an independent filmmaker, and I moved to Austin TX after I lost my job. Joined my friend from film school to help build a production company... we're about to finish two projects which are going to start bringing in the money.

I remember reading a little book and it said - 'if u had all the time & money in the world what would you do'....& 'think of things you've done when time seems to stand still', and I began to find my passion, particularly using the law of attraction. We can all find something to make us happy. Most of us just dont allow ourselves the time to look for it. I can see how losing a job can give you this space.....'life is not a rehearsal' as they say - lets not end them wishing we had taken action!!!

I am on SS Disabilty due to Parkinsons and osteoarthiritis. I just went through a divorce after years of my husbands controlling thumb and extreme verbal abuse. In the last few months I started writing short stories again after years of giving up that dream to maybe get published.
