I love doing this... from personal experience the best (non-race car) drifter is the old school 240sx, or if you aren't into faster drifting the AE86 works just fine for smaller tracks. The most fun tracks are Apricot Hill and Laguna Seca. I remember I had both cars dialed in so good, I drifted every corner at those tracks. The difficult part is steering with the throttle on a pressure sensitive X button.

In GT3 you only need to learn ''steering'' with the throttle.. if you learn this, drifting is as easy as breathing;-)

Go to run and settings at "My Home". Pick any course and go to the settings before starting the practice run.

you mostly want to Disable the ASM, The ASM makes it a bit stiffer in steering. well i guess its good if ur trying to Drift a Mustang or something that spins out alot.

yeah when you try to drift gt4 the car just looses control but on gt3 the car drifts smooth and is easy to control.

lol 12k is nothing in that game.

and if it's the white 86, that's not a waste at all. it's actually one of the best drifters in that game if it's tuned right.

just put a few tune ups in it (keep it non-turbo, but get it up to around 200 hp). then just experiment with all the settings until you find some that are easy to drift with.

regardless of all your other settings though, set asm and tcs to 0.

Simulation tires.. and Ebrake? hmm.. Slows the car quite a bit.. But it looks ok. Not good for High speed drift racing.

Lol try using any FR,MR,RR,4WD car that u Like. Dont use cars that everyone else uses. Like Skylines, Vipers, or any of those kinds of cars. Just go with ur favs. Also Mainly u'll can set the ASM to 0 and The TCS to about 5 or so. The other settings are up to u. Also the smoothest tires to use would be Sports. If u want Exact settings just message me with the cars full info. (Car name, Type)

the yellow FD is one of the prize cars in either the japanese championship or the american championship in the amateur league. i don't remember which one though, because you can win an fd from both of them.

from the japanese, you get an rz and from the american you get an rs. pretty much the same performance-wise, but idk which color either of them is.

Rotarylover: Here is what you need to do, for an entry level drifter like yourself get somthing like a rx-7, then soup it up all the way, then go to test it and then go to setting, then change the asm and tcs both to 0

dude just changing the asm and tcs wont do much help

u also need to work with the toe angle ,the chamber angle , the spring rate and also the brake balance

Your Gear box is kinda short on most of those cars, Your Shifting isnt very smooth during drifts, The use of Ebrake is at Max, the yellow integra isnt normal. Maybe the use of Simutires.. Maybe. Oh and most of those cars can use a wash lol. But other than that you have pretty well control of your drifts lol I would love to race you some day or even twin off of your skills.
