Authorities have clamped down on hooliganism and have improved stadium security so that instances such as Heysel and Hillsborough will not re-occur. This level of violence has declined over the past 2 decades. Authorities have clamped down on hooliganism and have improved stadium security so that instances such as Heysel and Hillsborough will not re-occur. Soccer is a wonderful game supported by passionate people. Supporters of the game deserve safety.

I am sure the Liverpool supporters were innocent. Someone/thing provoked them, so it was certainly justified that so many people died. Of course the "crumbling" stadium is to blame too. Also the weather and the referee anyway. I believe that all victims were part of a conspiracy theory: they were afraid of English football teams and wanted them to be banned from the competition
