  • cool, i wasn't sure if they existed or if they were a work of fiction on indiana jones :P

  • "Giant Flying Vampire Bats "

    Description: Fruit bats

    Uh...positive bat promotion fail?

  • what did they taste like?

  • Ok, title says vampire bats, notes say fruit bats. Make up your mind already they can't be both.

  • Goth and Throbb :)

  • @saries383 lol but they are Vampirum not fruit bats

  • dude that bat isnot a vampire bat ..... this may sound silly but its tru .... thats a flying fix... its a vegetarien :)

  • fuck the guys in the backround firing airsofts at these poor misunderstood creatures

  • That sounded more like a nailgun.... they were probably building something in the background.

  • Three species of vampire bats in the world. They are small bats and all in central/south America. Two of the species feed bird blood. The other feeds on domestic cows, pigs and horses . This vidoe is not showingt vampires. There can be confusion because the largest bat in the world has the scientific name of Pteropus vamyprus which is unfortunate because people see that name think therefore vampires are large. The bats in the video eat fruit, are called flying foxes because of their faces.

  • It sounds like gunshots I here (airsoft) in the background

  • sounds like a air compressor and a nail gun to me. I think they are roofing.

  • It sounded more like a nailgun. (I think so due to the air compresser noise in the background)

  • ooo they look like birds and i acctrueally was seeing bats wow

  • SHIKAKA!!!!!!

  • I remember when I was a little kid and all my friends would say "bats are blind" and I would say "NO YOU FUCKING RETARD! IF BATS ARE BLIND THEN WTF DO THEY HAVE EYES?!?!?!!!!!!!!"

  • @arandomperson3 lolz u craaazzy!!

  • @arandomperson3 Bats arent, in fact, blind.

  • is this a cat with wings on it?...can they learn to play hamlet?

  • wtf?

  • haha i made a report in fiji

(i wrote this cause this was shot in fiji )

ive never seen a bat live

  • Omg I saw a live bat for the first time up close (in my living room) and I almost peed myself. It was flying around so fast and never stopped... They're so black and dark and creepy, but I like them! (I think)

  • these are friut bats not vampires vampire bats can't eve fly they hop around!

  • Actually vampire bats can fly, its just they hop more because they sneak up on prey. Also vampire bats are only found near central america, and last time I checked Fiji isnt near there.

Cool video though, fruit bats are really cool.

  • WTF r U smoking. All bats can fly! It's just that YES vampire bats do have to crawl around to lick the blood of cows and fat drunk rednecks, but all bats fly!

  • another fool shows his ignorant ass.

  • "Vampire bats can't even fly they hop around"

that may just be the stupidest thing ive ever read...

  • @igotbored44

    Vampire bats can fly.

  • i know... i was quoting someone...

  • Fruit bats. Good for the environment.

  • lolumad?

  • lolumad?

  • i thought bats only come out in the dark

  • not all bats are nocturnal>_>

  • worst narrator ever....

  • what the fuck were u shooting at it!>!>?!?!?!

  • those are flying foxes not vampire bats vampire bats are small

  • the video is of Pteropus vampyrus, commonly known as Flying Fox, of the Megachiroptera suborder of bats. the bat you are thinking of is Desmodus rotundus, of the Phyllostomidae family of bats.

  • those weren't flying foxes i believe....and they are far from vampriebats as well....

not sure on species since its not close enough to see them clearly....*shrugs* my best guess from the size though is is was a species of fruit or bug eating bats :p

  • hey!!!!!

its z fruit eating bat also known as flying fox!!!

    their meat are a delicacy!!!!

we hunt dem down here in Mauritius by barrel12 shotgun

  • THAT'S FLYING FOX BAT.....LOL

  • Those aren't vampire bats!

  • Does your ignorant view on bat species propose that all large specimens be regarded as "Vampiric"?.

  • the video is of Pteropus vampyrus, commonly known as Flying Fox, of the Megachiroptera suborder of bats. the bat you are thinking of is Desmodus rotundus, of the Phyllostomidae family.

  • i dont know what you said ,but ill go with that

  • Bats are my 2nd favorite animals

  • Uh.... okay, I'll bite...

    What's your first favorite animal?

  • They are sharks. Would u like to join my friend list? If so I'll add u

  • by the way it was cool that you posted this.. not alot of good bat footage online.

  • these are fruit bats.. um... Fruit bats and vampire bats are two different types of bats.. your title says vampire bats.. but your video info section says fruit bats.. you may want to change your title..

  • I need a shot of bats for a video I am editing. Any chance I could get a copy of this?
