This is a BEAUTIFUL RENDITION of a BEAUTIFUL SONG!!! Jim Croce was a gift to the world. He is a much under-rated and forgotten music icon whose gift was cut much too short. We can only imagine what beautiful music he would have continued to write had he continued to stay with us longer. But we can be very grtateful for the music that we do have from him!!! People like Jim Croce are a gift from God!

Wow...I love how you play this. You sound great! Love this song too, and have really enjoyed playing along with this video. I have a songbook with all of the chords. Just trying to watch and figure out some of the fingerings you do for this. Been playing guitar for years, but this is the first time I have tackled this song. Thanks for posting.

Wonderful cover. Jim Croce was a brilliant tragic songwriter whose lyrics and music are replete with sadness. I seldom hear him covered well, but this version was honest, well performed and added it's own character to this great song. Well done.

Your cover of Jim Croce's "Lover's Cross here is Excellent! This is my favorite of Croce's in this format...moving away from say Bad Bad Leroy Brown and ballads with a similar beat. You've come through with flying colors.Even more amazing is how well it's done given the lack of a  professional recording studio. I'm actually using my son's youtube account. He'd probably roll his eyes at this one. But this is awesome! This was always my favorite Jim Croce song. You play it with ease, and your voice fits the song perfectly - with that gentle and sweet but firm way the lyrics tell it like it is. I LOVE IT! He and Lightfoot are my 2 all-time favorites. I was but a child when he died. When I took up the guitar in my twenties, he was the first place I headed. Jim's earthiness, songwriting and singing skills combined with Maury's virtuosity was absolutely magical. I'm sure they knew they were good, but they were just so great AND unique. I've never heard anything else like it.
