This version has a real Asian feel to it...Like classical Japanese music. But the original has more of a Celtic feel to it. Impoossible for me to say which is better. They are both beautiful!

@marsmushergon I saw it last Friday! It was beautiful! I cried when Sean said he was the on who was going to die. Don't you think Arrietty and Spiller make a good match? I liked it at the end when Spiller gave Arrietty the berry and he blushed. Cute.

@kkuulei yeah i guess that they do. but if sean was a borrower (a tiny person) then him and Arrietty would totally be together no question. and i also cried when he said that he was going to die. but he didn't, sadly he never sees arrietty again. that's something that i hate about Hayao's movies, the Girl and the Guy almost never end up together, and i guess that his son has that trait to because in Tales from earthsea they don't end up together either! (Why Hayao?! Why?!!!) ^.^

Hisaishi has worked only on movies directed by Hayao Miyazaki, Arrietty wasn't directed by him. Joe Hisaishi is ofcourse brilliant but i gotta admit that Cecile's Arrietty soundtrack is a refreshing change
