  • 3:20 for the start of the movie.

  • The Doctor?

  • i love this movie .... ive seen it like 100 times .... no seriously ... about 100 times

  • Hmm... does being drunk count as high? Oh well... here we go! (clicks)

  • LOL at Christopher Eccleston's accent.

Notice how the introduction references the ending of Videodrome. This is Interesting in that this is a spiritual sequel to Videodrome, covering the same themes, only this time applying them to games.

  • Good Lord, the acting in this is awful!

  • @McFilmStar the acting is intended to be awful. you'll understand at the end.

  • @McFilmStar that is part of the movie. being in a virtual world is making it difficult for you to be a good actor

  • dont eat during this movie

  • Well, it's Cronenberg. Confusing, strange, beautiful, ugly, intelligent.

  • I saw the last half of this movie the other night and it completely mind-fucked me. Now I'm here to see how it started.

  • just watched part1. pretty ginky. and wonky. and fucky. and more words that end in y.

  • dis movie was very creative i like i

  • I'm back for more ! Cronenberg is so cute

  • wow, this movie is craappy already. i didnt even watch 10 seconds of it and it looks like a buffy the vampire sitcom episode.

  • @jOWNZin22 I thought so too even ditched on my freinds at the theatre when it came out, I'm an idiot was very very wrong CRONENBERG RULES!

  • eXistenZ will leave your brain like a well shaken martini--what does this even mean? absolutely ridiculous.

  • Is it possibble that the ability to play on these organic consoles while bein already in one created such a mess in game that there could be tens or hundreds of

in-game world, each of them is realistic? I mean, the players could lost themselves

in labyrinth of worlds, as if they couldnt wake up from a dream- I had few dreams

that i thought I woke up from, and it turned up it was another dream.

  • What do you expect, after all it its a David Cronenberg movie

  • Richard Meltzer has said eXistenZ is one of the best LSD movies he's ever seen, and Meltzer's one guy who's not easy to impress. You don't really need to take LSD to watch actually, cuz the bending of reality is already there on screen.

  • @CinemaCinder The bending of reality is not exactly accurate. The manipulation of reality. The alteration of reality. And it's not just for movies. Our very existence, and everything in it is constantly being manipulated. For Christ's sake, look up at the goddamned sky, and see the manipulation happening right before your eyes! Our environment itself is being manipulated.

Don't believe anything you hear, and only half of what you see!

  • @un4g1v3n1Well, the correct term I should've used,as the movie itself used at the culmination of the story is the "distorting" of reality, which the Leigh and Law characters judge a crime against humanity, thus necessitating their final act of violence, but this act in itself is a crime against humanity, so the vicious circle of man's inhumanity against itself is not broken, but added to, changing nothing. The minute humankind set foot on earth, manipulation unfortunately became a natural trait.

  • okay first 10 minutes quiet cool

  • @fuckutube74 it's a pretty cool movie- it's a lot different than most of the hollywood trash. The acting is also a bit

odd at times, but it keeps you wondering what's going to happen next.

  • @nwopropaganda ive watched part 1 :)

    9 to go

  • @eldreamo76 :)

  • I THOUGHT eXistenZ was a penis enlarger pill?

    Did they sponsor this movie?

  • The one that designed the "game pad" jelly piece, was an idiot. Or, never played a computer game, probably.

  • @Aurinkohirvi i agree idk why they went that way with the design

  • This movie rates in my top ten! In no particular order They Live Waking Life The Thirteenth Floor Matrix (of course) The Prestige The Illusionist Clockwork Orange Princess Bride (I know, inconceivable) Meet John Doe (A classic that will make you laugh, cry, and get royally pissed off!) Thanks for the upload!!! I can't believe they've let it stay!
  • @un4g1v3n1 if u like these sub reality movies u have to see dark city, it came out the same year thirteenth floor and matrix did actually the reused the set of dark city for the matrix, its better than 13th and the could have made it into a trilogy like the matrix thats how good it was it has kiefer sutherland in it

  • @JohnCLocafella Ya, I caught that one too. Did you see Naked Lunch or Videodrome? Those two are quite trippy!

  • @un4g1v3n1 Videodrome is awesome so is this movie,I wish I seen it on the big screen while dosed.

  • @TheRalphus666 Now watch Naked Lunch, and tell me which one you think is more wacked!!

  • @un4g1v3n1 im a Burroughs fan and read Naked Lunch.and seen it, I think this one is further out there, but I seen it in the movies so im gonna watch it again.

  • @TheRalphus666 Well, both have the common theme of not being sure what is real! Or at least that seems to be the underlying thought I have about them both.

What is reality? Is what we see reality? What we think? Or is reality subjective, and capable of being altered by substances, or virtual reality machines?

The question goes even deeper, but 500 words would never do it the justice it deserves!

Is a hallucination real? It sure the fuck is to the one having it!

    Peace!

  • @TheRalphus666 Have you read any Tom Robbins books?

If not, start with Still Life with Woodpecker. That should get you hooked.

Fierce Invalids Home From Hot Climates

    A quck overview:

CIA agent succombs to mystical superstition, ends up in the company of those guarding the third secret of Fatima.

    Drugs

    Nun ass sex

Magical re-appearing hymen and extremely small stilts

    Sufficiently tittilated yet?

    Cheers!

  • @un4g1v3n1 No,thanks for the tip,I will check out his books

  • If it's supposed to be so messed up watching it when you're high i need a quick break. It's gravity bong time!

  • Fuck damn stupid movie!!

  • OOH!! In what? State's evidence? (Bravest actor in the world!!! All I have to say)

  • This doesnt start off like the ending of Videodrome

  • right, just read the warnings, made me get high just to see it.

    I'm high, check

    alone, check

    monged, check

    pressed play, check

  • this world is a fucking virtual reality. look it up b4 u laugh :) or laugh and be a retard.

  • OMG IT'S THE OLD DOCTOR WHO :L

  • ughhh! FINALLY!!!! I last seen this movie like 5 years ago and have been trying to see it ever since but I forgot the name... then I just googled 'movie about game plug in back'.. And I found it!! -- bad thing, it's 2:35am and I'm tired a fuck :(

  • @EmmiWorld Yeah I've been looking for it because Kris Lemche's in it (I'm trying to watch all his movies/tv shows) But its 1am here :/

  • @Sophie1234A same!! :)

  • @ultamatefrogmaster Haha, we're cool. How far have you got, so far I have seen: Flash Forward, Goosebumps, Newton: A tale of two Isaacs (not sure if it was the whole thing or not) , eXistenZ, I'm working my way through the Joan of Arcadia episodes (so fair I've seen one) The Division, The Last Casion (really good movie) FD3, State's Evidence, Psych, Conversation with the Supplicant, NCIS: LA, and of course Ginger Snaps!

  • @Sophie1234A High Five!!! I havent got through as much as you, I only became a die hard fan like two weeks ago :P But i've always found him wicked. I've seen Ginger Snaps (of course)State's Evidence (scared the crap out of me when he did the ...you know.)Final destination 3, The last casino, and snippets from a simple curve, green guys, my little eye (which i'm getting on dvd) johnny, joan of arcadia and ghost whisperer and this. But I stoped watchin when he died. And nobody dies better than him

  • @ultamatefrogmaster I still need to see the big ones like My Little Eye and A Simple Curve :( OMG me too! It scared me too, but i think that would have been the most difficult role to play and he did it brilliantly. *SPOILER ALERT* i heard there was a twist or something where he like comes back to life or isn't dead or something?!' *SPOILER FINISHED!*

  • Just because you told me not to, I will

    *Turns out lights, grabs bong*

  • it isnt a mind fuck you newbs. its made to be confusing. its simple.

  • I never liked The Matrix - 90% visual effects and only 10 % acting. eXistenZ wasn't full of action movie but it was very inventive, creative and original. They should have made a sequel. Jude Law showed brilliant acting. Jennifer Jason Leigh was great too. This film reminds me other underrated flicks: Strange Days, Lawnmower Man, Virtuosity, The Net, FutureSport, The Time Shifters, The Cell, The Apocalypse (1997), Children of Men, The Arrival, Ultraviolet, Mimic, Galaxy Quest, Dark City...

  • it wouls be so awesome watching this in 3D!!

  • I seen this movie on magic mushrooms and it thank god it was shrooms and not acid cause shrooms are mellower but I think you have to see it fucked up

  • 2 words.........TOTAL MINDFUCK

  • Do you mean its scary? Why not watch alone?

  • its a good movie, theres just no plot really for the game itself. they just enter the game and have no fucking clue what to do. thats why the ending is like wtf how do you beat it then, we don't even know if this is real or not.

  • I am Jude Laws face cancer.

  • @CanineFaeces lol

  • i was so confused the first time i watched this movie

  • @WendyRustrian i HAVE WATCHED IT 3 TIMES, STILL CONFUSED!

  • this is one of the worst movies I've watched in my life.

  • hahahahhaahh I am high and alone. hahahahhaha I thought I would be the first to come to that c onclusion.

  • This movie can almost go hand in hand with Videodrome. They're great to watch together. They're both about media controlling the flesh and they're both as bizarre as they are fascinating!

  • One more question: what is existenz used for? how does it work?

  • 'eXisenZ' (in the movie of the same name) is the fictional extension of a video game and subscribes to out-of-body 'metaphysical' notions, similar to the themes in the Matrix, only involving the use of body parts instead of technological sci-fi machinery.

  • Thank u very much. I remember one american movie about this kind of stuff...the name???? well...I think it's The Lawnmower Man

  • Thanx deepenhancer, 'The Lawnmower Man' is new to me and it explores the metaphysical theme as you say. Another one is 'Being John Malkovich' by Spike Jonze.

  • 9:42

    Wtf? Was that really necessary?

  • movie is kickass ! thanks for the upload !

  • THATS WEIRD!!! haha kris lemche

  • so basically it means Ex GodZ?

This movie is one giant mind-fuck.

    but fucking brilliant.

  • thats some fucked up crap on the laps of those people.

  • Oh no - I like Christopher Eccleston, but what the hell is that accent??!!

  • oh my god, I just heard the accent, maybe thats the only americanish accent he knows how to do, his natural accent is pretty strong

  • @BlvdBrknDrms

Hey, considering the twist at the end, maybe CE's terrible accent was deliberate? After all, Ian Holm's character also said that his "accent (...) was thick, [he] could hardly understand [him]self."

  • Music by Howard Shore - no wonder I sat here thinking this sounded similar to Lord of the Rings! Particularly 00.45-00.55, that sounded just like the opening to the Two Towers (when the camera pans over the mountains, before going back in to Gandalf and the Balrog.)

  • wow, never thought i'd see this again. thanks

  • Last part checked,ok keep going.

  • I'm High, check

    Hit HQ, check

    Press play, check...

  • Lol i need to smoke for this

  • lol why

  • @Organjic Fuck am gna wait til i blaze then watch this movie,

  • @Organjic no such HQ.... :/

  • @jonas2789 That was a jear ago, my friend

  • OK, I saw much better SCI-FI/Thriller movies but this one was decent - great visual effects, really not bad acting ... and the ending - WOW!

Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jude Law and Ian Holm did a great job.

  • Thanks for the upload. And nice disclaimer--I'll make sure to alert my pothead friends XD

  • An old leg of lamb for a gun instead of the latest gleaming patriarchal fetish model? A female main protagonist? Might this be a gender bending Sci-Fi metaphysical plot instead of the usual male elitist theme? How refreshing!

  • I didn't know mutant amphibian and reptiles were feminine, though the game pods have tits.

  • No Charlesvan13, Geller, the 'female main protagonist', plays the controlling character in Cronenberg's eXistenZ. The supporting character Pykul is male, in contrast to the usual male lead sci-fi plots, where women usually, have a part only in a titillating sub plot or as an admiring stooge. Maybe this is the reason that far more men than women are interested in this genre?

  • there isnt really a main protagonist in this, its too bleak and weird to tell really, couldnt you agree?

  • But so.

In the Matrix the wise sage is black.

But it just means the character was played by a black man.

  • sounds like you got issues with men^

  • Just the issue that not one female director has ever received an Oscar [and] No not issues with 'men'; most of my best friends are male but I find the patriarchal elitists are a real turn off.

  • .You sound like an Elitist and sexist twat. You're probably a man-hater was well

  • you should also watch M. Butterfly from Cronenberg. Theres happening extensive gender bending; ). Wrote an housework in gender Studies about it. very good movie.

  • Thanx bensensun, that's one movie I missed.

  • Think i am afraid of you. and i don't get afraid often. .......Just wanted you to know that. when i DO....there is a reason. Peace to you.

  • well THAT was easy!! LOL Seek and ye shall find... Thank YOU!!!! Hugs!!!

  • Thank you for posting this movie, I had forgotten the name of it for years it is as good now as it was when i first saw it.

  • thanks check , for posting the film , i agree with someone elses comment , its far better than the matix and cronenberg is a genius and all the actors are superb in this brilliant film , thanks check

  • watching second time to catch up ...

  • It's a shame the Matrix overshadowed this movie in 99, because this is way better. This deals with similar themes but without the cgi and cyberpunk cheeziness.

  • i agree totaly this films for smart folk and the matrix is a holywood money maker and anyway cronenberg is a genius , what do you rekon !

  • lmao thanks for the begining warning... paaha. but yay kris lemche is in this.. and wow.. he dies in almost every movie *sigh* thanks for uploading

  • continuity error within the first 5 secs of onscreen action! lol, how did they miss the Z in the camera angle change?

top film, very cool uploader! 5

  • this looks scary. i should watch this in the day. its 3am and i'm a lil scared

  • I watched this at 3am, I wasn't scared but have strange thoughts, being unable to sleep :) Games are based on real world (whatever is real) and that causes mind trick whith possible recurence. This is the same idea as dream in the dream concept. However does it matter if you are dreaming or not?

  • don't forget to see Videodrome, The Fly, and Naked Lunch

  • Fuck! its Dr Who at the start!

  • thanks J.Law,the best of world^^

  • +1. i'm in it

  • the best cronenberg film!!!

  • This is Cronenberg´s last good movie after this came Spider and many others which show a complete lack of creativity. The "New Flesh" was gone.

  • just listening to the music in the begining i know it's howard shore!god i'm good lol

  • Now that people think they are going to get paranoid after watching this, will get paranoid after watching this.

  • Hey Rea Rea ... funny you should say that cause ... ur tripping me out ...

  • lol thatnks for the warning but i am both alone and high

  • yeah... shhhhhhhh... ok.. here it comes!

  • This movie will leave my brain tasty and smooth?

  • Cronenberg has an obsession with flesh-like objects. I guess living technology is one way to envision the future.

  • this is a mix of the matrix and naked lunch....

  • In the future, videogames are srs business

  • this movie feels like a remake of videodrome, as well as an extension of it, it's very grimm in it's idea, brilliant cronenberg!

  • I adore this movie, like I do most other Cronenberg movies. I think it's more important than people realize. Jude Law is gorgeous as usual.

  • World of Warcraft and Male Enhancement

  • Anyone notice the guy in the blue shirt played Doctor Who a few years back.

  • finally someone who uploads a movie and does it RIGHT. most ppl who upload, damn parts are freakin scattered everywhere as well as the running time and no auto play? like cmon now, that aint too smart. NO "lol"...

  • I was sat in my room and I sudenly got a technophobic brain wave about a film I had once seen where someone stand up with a gun made of bones. I just typed in "Movie bone gun" and rooted around for this. I am so happy!

  • love this fuckin movie

  • the guy who shoots allegra is hot!

  • F.D 3!!

  • You diamond!!!

  • I've seen 17 of Jennifer's films and my favorite is 'Bastard out of Carolina', 2nd fav 'Deloris Claiborne'. I love how she explores various intense characters & isn't afraid to expand her range. I haven't been able to see 'Eyes of a Stranger', would love to see it here if available. Also would love to see 'The Best Little Girl in the World' again (it was her first film that I saw). I also like that she's willing to do supporting as well as staring roles at various stages in her career.

  • Yes, I've been a fan of Jennifer Jason Leigh ever since "Fast Times at Ridgemont High." She's an interesting actress who doesn't stick to playing standard characters, but takes on unusual and offbeat roles. Plus, she's damn sexy and cute!

  • man, this is so much like the "death to videodrome" scene in Videodrome.

  • Thanks alot for uploading

  • The style of this movie is very similar to Videodrom.

  • I think it's the same maker

  • that the only part Kris Lemche is in?

  • that's so funny i just remembered this movie and looked it up .. it's such a coincidence that you just uploeaded it

  • Thanx!! Much appreciated!

  • why do they take them off? Retards..ur movie choices ROCK!!!

  • all the part are online now

  • upload on limewire then ;)

  • Any chance of uploading the entire movie?
