I never said it was illegal to own a gun. So what is your point? They have been able to legally carry guns for 200+ years. That doesn't mean our constitution guarenteed it. When our supreme court is put into place by our government, and our government is lobbied by the NRA, then ofcourse the supreme court will make a ruling to make them happy. Its called politics.

As for the 2nd ammendment, it hasnt been taken away in IL, thats a false statement. And you really should check out the definition of that 2nd ammendment. You will see it makes no such guarentee of rights as you believe it. With the NRA here, we will always be able to own guns unfortunately.
