This surgery, although mine was not RNY, but the MGB, was my miracle too. My only regret is that my beloved mother whose obesity eventually claimed her life couldnt have benefitted from this as I did.

Hey Janie,

You did a great service to the newer WLS people to reflect back to a time before the surgery, and allow them, and all of us to see that A)we can leave that deep dark hole we're in with the effort we put into ourselves after WLS and B) no matter how successful we become and how "normal" we look, we don't lose the compassion for those coming up behind us and we do understand the struggles of losing weight.
