thats sweet. how hard are thes to ride? i snowboard but iv recently moved an my local hill is small as hell an park blows, so snowboarding here got boring, i need something new to ride at this hill an skiing is dumb so its out of question, so i figure give snowskating a shot lol i also skate an use to freebord (fractured my skull)
@Red1676 they're not that hard just to cruz around on but tricks are a lot harder than on a skateboard. we're all still trying to figure out what shape top deck/ski/truck combo works best. google "Alan Gerlach Snowskating Northstar", awesome video.
@tahoeclimber cool i will check out vid. but i cant ride park for long time, maybe never again because if i get another concussion, i could become vegtable or dead. thats why wear your helmets haha.once i get hand of stuff i find ways to tweak it or make it better. just looking at it, have any one tryed a wider ski. you would have more base but have bigger base to land on :)
@Red1676 Uh yeah brother, wear a hemet. We have pretty soft snow where I live but I really don't have an excuse I guess. I do wear a helmet when I'm using my helmet cam... yay.
As for a wider ski, the wider it gets the harder it is to turn without falling off. They do make single flat deck that are about 10" wide but you can't really carve on them or use them at a resort. Those decks are great for flip tricks and sliding rails. Check out Ambition Snowskates.

@tahoeclimber ow its all good, i was freebordin, car cut me off causin me to fall, my helmet fell off an ya. only time iv ever hurt my head snowboarding was on park an skating iv never hit my head haha. but when i ment wider ski i mean just bit wider for tricks, but not overly big. almost kinda like a wide board for snowboarding.
This is the best snowskate video ever! I bought a 2011 Ralston after watching this, should be here any day now. I can't wait to hit the slopes here in Quebec with it.
i looks so chill !!!!
