hmmm my home town is Qingdao, or TsingTao to westerns, its where the beer comes from, anyway its a coastal city and all of its food revolves around seafood. And they eat those "snails" which are really conks all the time. And they eat every part of it, and they never have a problem.

well it depends on how well they were prepared. I've had snails in a crappy chinese buffet restaurant and they were disgusting, and I had escargot snails in a french restaurant and they were really good.

It's chewy kind of like the texture of a cooked oyster but the taste is pretty unique, especially to what type of snail and how it's prepared.

I am not sure how much flavor you can get from lizard though. But I have heard that its meant to be quite good for your body. And I have seen people in Taiwan selling dry lizard in traditional chinese medicine store.
