It is not just once, twice or several times shifting like this. It is doing this everytime you start off that kills the transmission. Some people do it every time they stop and THAT will deff kill it. The truck will run but it is not made to be abused over and over and over. No make of vehicle will.

WOT Shifting is fine. 4500 rpms launch is way to high if your stock and on street tires. Too avoid wheel hop you should launch at a low 1500-2000. DR and other tires though and better mounts allow you to launch higher obviously

@mariox07x as the driver and owner of that car i do agree with you. =P but i bought it new in 2003 and it has still been good to me to this day. i wasnt stressing the parts that bad really. the clutch went through that punishment week after week and still took care of me for over 67,000 miles. for what its worth i did not have anything to do with the making of this 'instructional' video. its a shame that so many people have seen this version compared to my original. oh well, cares anyhow.

i agree, anytime i launched my srt over 2500rpm on regular tires i would spin through all of first and second.. i always launched at like 2k and slipped the clutch a little and right when it starts spinning i would go to second gear (sold stage 2 bpu modds)

im not gonna make a video, but i'll tell you what works for me, i rev it to 2500ish and slip the clutch a lil bit and shift to second as soon as it hits 5800 ish because if u dump the clutch like u do it bogs..once i get the car moving then wot...try it
