But we can know things that were happening in that time period by artifacts and the historical record of the region. History prove in the beginning we were all BLACKS, but the descendants of Cain were turned to white. The Bible call it LEPROSY. There is more then a whole chapter in Leviticus dealing with that. @TheCaptainLulz I think you misunderstood me. It has always been my argument that there is little "real history" to support Jesus specifically. But we can know things that were happening in that time period by artifacts and the historical record of the region. It wasn't uncommon for young orphaned girls to marry or become pregnant by someone else and subsequently married off to older or widower men with means.

@astrgd27 Race was an issue in the past among some members esp.when racism pervaded the whole American society.I'm sure yours&my family members in the past 1 hundred years or so held some misconception of different races.It's very unfortunate and sad, but as time moved on so did America&the LDS church in their allowing all races to hold the priesthood.The LDS church now fully embraces the core of the scriptures that we are all priceless children of a loving Heavenly Father, regardless of race!:)

Well I'm an atheist and black, and I totally disagree with Mormonism, but I equally disagree with general christianity as well. And to Parsley's point, remember blacks are largely christian, and christians were the ones who unslaved our people and killed many more all the while supporting it with their religious doctrine.
