  • I blame Erica Court. That dirty slut.

  • This is my second favorite Coheed song and I wish they would play it more often. I totally understand Claudio having a slip up. It happens to literally every vocalist at one point or another. Here's to hoping for more Good Apollo 1 songs live now that Josh is back!

  • I wasn't aware he messed up? This is Night III, his voice was nearly gone by then.

  • 78 likes. NOBODY TOUCH THE LIKE BUTTON!!

  • dude you skipped the awesome intro =/

  • We shouldn't bash Claudio for making a few mistakes. He had to play around 40 songs, a lot of which are the length of 3 songs. He also had to deal with his vocal problem during these shows. Claudio is a once in a life time artist. Appreciate him while you can. That man has a lot more balls than a lot of singers who cancel their shows or get other people to sing the songs just because they have vocal problems. Claudio has balls.

  • @CatsVSHumanity tl;dr

  • I still think it is a great performace, If I was one of the people that were in the concert I would have sung from beginning to end with all my power...

  • He's still a god.

  • are u serious? i dont hear anybody singing for claudio's fuckups! then might i be his guest? :)

the gIIiive and gOOooo of mOOoost your memories! ...but i'm NOT THE WUUHOOone that they neED PRAYED FOOoor! ...If i've GOT IT ALLHaall then what DOES... ah-doooo-ah! a-leave it alooone! ^D^

  • This is easily my favorite Coheed song. First time I watched Neverender I was deeply disappointed that Claudio messed up. Then I lol'd and had an eargasm.

  • first, i live in finland, so: i ordered the neverender box from usa berore it was released. the box was like 30 dollars or something and the export into finland like 60 euros. when it used to come, i got e-mail that my package was in customs (i was like "oh my god") then, when this box finally came.....THERE WASN'T THE NIGHT 3!!! THERE WAS TWO NO WORLD FOR TOMORROWS!!! well, i still love coheed and cambria, we all do mistakes

  • Lol, Poor Claudio XD Totally flubbed this one lyrically. But it was humorous, I would still pay to see this show!

  • Claudio didn't forget the words, the words forgot him

  • Please keep in mind they had never once played this song live.

  • Actual chorus: Help!!!

Now off to the hell your God has sold

    To find

That never again will you rely

    My Chorus: Hey!

OH! I walked to the hell you got this sword

to find that never will you rely.

    thats what i hear.

  • Damn i fucken love this jam and fuck it he messed up he still remembered ALL the SONGS from his first FOUR ablums and hes still the man sooooo..... fuck you.

  • Bought the DVD yesterday, haven't stopped watching it yet, it's that awesome. Can't wait to see them in March :D Plus who cares if he messed up, it shows he's on of us humans too :P

  • You guys forgot to mention how awesome the free-jam they had before this song!

  • so was night three the weakest for you new yorkers? i reckon over here in london night 3 was the fucking best, im almost certain there was not one mistake or flaw and he was vocally perfect, which is odd seeing as at the time good apollo was the weakest album i thought. but these days it's my fav =)

  • who fucking moshes to this???? i make babys to this

  • I think it's just something about this song, to be honest. I find myself accidentally doing the second verse first a lot when I sing it too. That said, there's something oddly charming about him messing up and then asking the crowd to help him out.

  • Claudio messed up cause he was having really bad acid reflex that night. He said it in an interview. Night III wasn't the best of the 4. But he's still fuckin awesome

  • Travis should've saved this by busting into a solo for the whole first verse, Gravemakers style. Nobody gives this guy enough credit for all the catchy leads he comes up with. Too bad his sound isn't as present in the newer albums.

  • @MrFranciscoCalza so true man, travis and claudio's styles compliment eachothers so well. It's what makes songs like 'willing well iii' and 'mother may i' so incredible

  • Who the fuck moshes to a song like this? haha

  • @Jamesex A True Coheed and Cambria fan.

  • @sixstainless Haha. Good on ya.

  • @Jamesex no kidding right man!

so people just dont know when to dance to a song or when to mosh, its so frustrating!

  • How can u say claudio didn't mess this song up he wanted the crowd to sing it haha if u knew this song at all seems like u don't. Claudio started singing the second verse first. He fucked up cause they never play this song on tour Period

  • I can't believe claudio started the song on the second verse lol I love the melodys in this song guitar solo awsome I think I like Travis on guitar bettr than claudio this may be their best song it's so underrated my top five fav coheed song

  • Claudio messing up only shows that he's human. Without those little slip ups I would be suspicious that he was crafted in the heaven's and sent down from above to grace all with his talent.

  • @ScottXC91 I can't play and sing a lot of his songs at the same time. Actually his vocal range is really close to mine and I still can't hit a few notes all the time without playing lol.

  • God, Chris Pennie must be about to collapse!

  • I don't think he screw up I think he wants the crowd to sing along

  • Anyone from Cobalt and Calcium forums can call me out on this one...but this may be the first time they performed this track. He gets put off by starting the song from the second verse, but maintains cool by asking the audience for help: "C'mon I'm gonna need your help here c'mon!"

Then he giggles when the second verse starts and he's singing the right bit. It's one of my favourite Neverender moments

  • a mosh pit at a coheed show? wtf?

  • @loseronparade And? Coheed are brilliant, they are so uplifting and energetic I'd jump around going mental to them any day. Have you seen the live Neverender: In Keeping Secrets video? You ain't seen nothing until you have mate :)

  • @loseronparade Haha thats exactly what i was thinking!

  • C'mon!!! This guy would forget how to wipe his ass before forgeting a lyric!!

  • it's funny that people assume he forgot the lyrics when this band is so direct and on point with the skill of each performance.... it'd be easier for this guy to forget how to count than forget the lyrics to any song he's written.

  • @jorael1232 yep, I would piss my pants if I ever get to play guitar and sing at the same that good someday

  • @josuecarnivoro That would be a funny sight on stage.. .Rockin rockin still rockin... .oh i pissed myself. fuck!

  • OMG I OWN THIS XDDDDDDDD

  • this song is just wow...the title is so ironic for me...the girl who just dumped me today was named erica and i found out she'd been lying to me and she still loves her ex...i went home and found this in my recomendations box...

  • @xXd3adX0nXarivalXx fuck lying bitches. Dont waste anymore love on her man.

  • @xXd3adX0nXarivalXx Check your definition of Irony....

  • @Danteswrath ok so what? just first thing that popped into my head, and whatever. its a mistake so what? :P lol

  • @xXd3adX0nXarivalXx Damn dude, really? So heavy...and ironic

  • @Minoru72991 ahaha its fine...its really weird that that happened and yeah

  • he didnt forget the lyrics he just wanted the crowd to get involved

  • He messed up because the song is hard to sing. I don't mean it's hard TECHNICALLY, but I mean, it's just like how he explained how hard singing Justice in Murder was... it's a REALLY hard memory to re-interpret.

  • claudio keeps forgetting lyrics

  • I just learn the part before The Lying Lies & Dirty Secrets starts by ear !!

  • please upload that interlude bit just before as its stunning!

  • i kno. wtf is that? its amazing

  • let's just say I wanted to take a lady friend with me to see coheed live. is there anywhere for non marshers to stand so we don't get slammed into and touched by other people so much?

  • yeah, the back ;)

  • if claudio tied his hair in this song you can probably see him laughing or smiling

  • claudio messes up a lot but it justs makes you like him even more :D anyone seen the "holy shit" edition of the suffering? lol

  • yeah...hahaha

  • @brofro5563 Hahaa too right

I laughed so much at that

    Hooollllyyy shittt :P

  • where is that video? i havent been able to find it..

  • @michaelstevenwashere just put in the suffering holy shit edition in the search bar that should do it

  • which is that?

  • 1:36 Hahaha

  • It's cool when he starts laughing when he sings the verse in the right place.

  • Love this song man. good recovery claudio

  • that was an awesome recovery haha.

  • who cares...they are legends and dont need to prove anything to anybody... trip ups happen ...they cant practice for every song on their record and perfectly perform it ...its not possible

  • Poor Claudio. He tripped himself all up. It's always so awkward when that happens :\

I've done it myself a few times. Thank god the crowd wasn't anywhere NEAR that big xD

  • have you seen the welcome home performance they did for Taylor? he got all screwed up on the 2nd verse got like one line right, lol. i like seeing claudio's mess ups. reminds me he's human, lol

  • Nah...

    Even gods screw up.

    Just look at the platypus.

  • That is my favorite comment I've ever seen in my life. Ever.

  • lol Glad I could serve of some entertainment value xD

  • HAHAHA nice

  • I fucking lol'd hard.

    It is true though.

  • lol nice job hahaha best comment ever

  • @GodsentHellraiser XD that made me lol...

  • @GodsentHellraiser

Wtf, Claudio Sanchez didn't make the platypus.

  • @GodsentHellraiser This is the GREATS THING I Hve EVER read in my LIFE haha .. thx man really !! :D

  • its not even so much that the songs hard to sing while playing it, its that he sung the wrong verse at first and then got confused. these things happen, he still rocked the place down to the floor

  • Lol @ :58

  • why do they even think they need backup singers? they have hundreds in front of them at every show

  • Back up singers are the reason I didn't buy this.

  • THEY FUCKED EVERYTHING UP

  • @guitartist22 Because the crowd always take it upon themselves to sing the harmony lines?

A hell of a lot of Coheed songs have excellent harmony lines, sometimes the songs sound quite empty without them. I think the backing singers are a great addition to them live.

  • In one of the versions hes like "when are you girls gonna help me out?" and like laughs a little

  • what version??

  • when he said 'need your help here', he was talkin to the audience! The 'backup singers' are there for harmonies and for bits like the female voice in 'the suffering'! Can't blaim them, nice of one to try though.

  • The reason he messed up in the beginning is because the guitar part is actually quite hard and has really fast chord transitions. Weird rhythm too. He actually messes up in a lot of their live videos on this song. He even gets angry at the so called "back up" singers. I don't like them honestly.

    Great performance nonetheless.

  • He get's angry at them in one of their videos ha

  • do you have a link?

  • yea the back up singers blow.its cool how he asks for the crowds help and right away they join in

  • They aren't really there to sing backup. They're for the really high parts Claudio doesn't feel like doing himself anymore.

  • where's the sick intro man?

  • yeah claudio is definitely tired...damn they're still fuckin amazing.. i wish i was there

  • Poor guy...He has to play four nights straight, with these immense songs, he messes up like once, and everybody is all over him.

  • Right? They still did AWESOME, i was there.

  • It was actually 4 nights straight, once a week, every week for a month, plus the instrumental sets, and a show in Tempe, AZ right before the LA shows. Freaking ridiculous schedule

  • Poor guys. They have to do it together.

  • @MattAttack1221 naah... his throat probably just itched a bit....

  • fuckin back up singers, they could have at least saved claudio here..

  • so what? he messed up. it happens, you forget one word and the stress can get to you and next thing you know you've completely spaced on the song. kinda sad though how he seems to lose the confidence in his voice for the rest of his song. i guess you can't be perfect all the time.

  • please upload that interlude bit just before this song please!

  • Well he has to memorize (I assume) lyrics to a huge bunch of songs. Minor stuffs like this are forgivable...if not add to the uniqueness of the whole thing.

  • God I wish that this video had the intro before it

Swear to god i almost cried when it was playing

  • :D. 1:21. Mic looking at chris haha. Makes me happy for some reason. This song is amazingly chill and amazing. Who cares if Claudio messed up. No, he didn't. He just wanted people to enjoy the music for a little bit then bring in the vocals later.

  • i think he did want to sing. But forgot lyrics. therefore he said "come on im gonna need ur help here" But neither the girls nor most part of the audience was singing so Claudio asked them to help a bit :D but meh. love it anyway :D <3

  • Actually I think the real reason is just cause he's so fucking tired. If you listen to Night 3 his voice is really giving out and who can blame him after three nights?

  • hey can you upload the song they play inbetween the suffering and this song?

    thanks

  • He did mess up. He said the second verse first

  • sucks he messed up the first verse, but otherwise, it sounds amazing

  • Perhaps he did it on purpose? Musicians do that sometimes. But idk.
