@VanillaSnow23 you dont know much about Buddhism then, you would be surprised at how similar buddhism is to socrates or heraclitus or even some christian theological works. i know this because i was born into the two worlds of christianity and Buddhism (mother christian, father Buddhist) and i lived in India for three years.
@VanillaSnow23 no i am not saying that one is better then the other, the two are means that humans have developed to reach a higher state of mind do you understand? both speak of a higher state of being and both try to reach it. but its important to understand that their isnt ONE greek philosophical line, just as their isnt ONE Buddhist line there are many of both. and some greek philosophers have gotten very close to what the Siddartha Gautama, the origional Buddha taught.
@VanillaSnow23 i went to a medditational retreat of Vipassana on the a few weeks ago, vipassana is a medditational techneque developed by the Buddha himself, it was the type of medditation that he used to reach enlightement. and on the retreat the teacher said things on the nightly presentations that were identical to what some greeks said. like: you cant go into a river twice because that river is always changing and so are you(heraclitus) it is better to suffer injustice then cause it(socrates
@VanillaSnow23 what you have to understand is that we are all human, and therefore we all have the same necessities, and inner peace is one that we all share. thats why youll find if you search for it, similiariteis on every cultulre and almost every religion. i have read religouse texts written by christians that say things i read in buddhist scriptures and vice-versa. we shouldnt be prejudiced to other systems but accept that their is value in many things, not just on what we like or admire.
@mcmuffin33633 that's a historical myth. Almost the entire Aristotelian corpus was translated from Greek first, without mediation by Arabic translations, which are in many cases lost. The same holds true for most other philosophers. Texts that have come down in Arabic only are extremely rare exceptions.
Some nuts assume these ideas are only belong to western world.we even know these phılosophers arent christian then how can you insist on that.western world only adopted these virtues to their policies, education science. You did not create these ideas you only adopted them to your communities. What ı wanna tell you these ideas are universal that noone owns.
İf you consider this as western phlosophy then you have to consider Turkey as part of western world which we dont care.Cos these phılosphers had lived in anatolia (current turkey).and western ideas raised from Turkey.
@mcmuffin33633 no....muslims adopted aristotle...and the islamic world flurished. the spanish conquerored and flushed out the moors and then created the first public libraries with encyclopedias...thanks to the europeans we have logic in school today. Islam? they went away from that....obviously!!
@Sayid931 We all know of all the great muslim noble price winners that have pioneered muslim science the past 100 years like .....hhmmf.....ff..... and ......ahhhumm......ehhh.....!
@StLukey7 read about the muslim philosophers u idiot .. while philosophy were considered as the devil science to your ancestors in europe it was considered a real science to the arabs and muslims .. and the original texts for greek philosophers were lost and the only texts were left was the arabic translates to it .. so without the arabs and muslims you would not know shit about greeks cuz ur fucked up ancestors burned their books so shut the fuck up and try to learn
@supertramp6233 well let me tell you what i do read. I read about the koran teaching about how the jews and christians corrupted the text of the bible... now the koran is the true revelation. OK , the dead sea scrolls prove that the text are not change to the degree the koran claims. SO!!! looks like the Koran is wrong again! THEREFORE!!! dont follow islam. Thats logic!
@supertramp6233 you*was*Europe, Muslims.*(don't start a sentence with and) The*was*lost,*only text that were*,translations* Muslims,*Greeks,* because* you're*books,* by the way, the entire thing is a run on sentence. Now who's the idiot you fool. Shut the fuck up and try to learn.
@StLukey7 Shut the fuck up you stupid cunt, what are you talking about? Clearly logic is a disaster for you you fucking eurocentric fascist cunt, shut the fuck up, you really don't have a clue. Islam pioneered logic in the post-hellenistic age and the catholic study of logic for the next several hundred years was based upon Islamic textbooks rediscovered by Aquinas & Albertus Magnus et al. So shut the fuck up.
@StLukey7 Its strange. Although one could make a case by the fact that greek text were pretty much non existent in europe and came back to europe by Islam conquerers such as the Mores.
@StLukey7 lolol i agree with ur statement, HOWEVER, it should be painfully obvious why there is an Islamic intro: the muslims helped preserve a lot of the ancient philosophy.
@StLukey7 It's ironic though how so many advocators for Islam were philosophers/scientists & played a greater part in contributing to human advancement (And no i'm not muslim lol =P)
@StLukey7 actualy it was because of the muslims that many philosophical texts from aristotle and other philosophers survived, since the christians began to band some philosophical works, the muslims held on to them, so if you ever read works like Nicomachean Ethics by aristotle thank the ancient muslims.

@IslamicWorldView youtube came up with a brilliant way of making using youtube more inconvenient. the queue button is gone, so now i cannot easily watch the series as it was meant to be, queueing up the series and playing them all at once.. now, we gotta create playlists first, or wait until video is over to start the next one up.
It would be very convenient, and much appreciated if you would start posting the playlists in the description for the stated reason. Thank you.
You refered to Asia minor as not Greece what was Asia minor at that time? i hope that it was not intentional on your part. Just to corect you Asia minor was very much Greece as the rest of the mainland Greece.Turks started coming to this area in the 9th century AD and they will go back to Mongolia very soon, with their Christian brothers.1700 hundred years of pollution its enough for both of them.

Okay, maybe I'm speaking too soon (seen only a portion), but Thales' pupil was Anaximander (and his pupil was Anaximenes). Anaximander had a much better theory about Earth than Anaximenes, but the latter was taken more seriously. Anaximander, not mentioned here, had a more accurate idea: that Earth was more cylindrical and like a drum. It's closer to the concept of "sphere" than Anaximene's "earth floats on steam". Textbook in front of me.

Mt. MONTSERRAT "HUMAN FACE" IMAGE (in NASA PHOTOSATELLITE)
In the "Landsat" NASA photosatellite of Mt. Montserrat's human face,
the conjunction of the most high peaks (10 x 5 km.) look like a image
with severe expression, as never seen before. A big sanctuary in photo
appears in different colour like a "3th EYE" in this huge face:
