Hahah. I had the the Extreme Warfare one memorized along with a few others of the regular commercials like "The night the Kimona Wanaleyai danced atop the EXW arena" Even the commercials bring back great memories. Partly because they played so much during the show.
if that hotline still existed, youd call it wouldnt you?
honestly, I called those hotlines back in the day and it was kind of cool, but they really didnt tell you anything. they just used clever commercials like this one to get you to actually call. WWF had one. 1-900-737-4WWF and WCW had one, 1-900-909-9900........ I know, its really sad that I know that. :-(
0:08 - It's Extreme Warfare Vol. 1! We live tonight that Sabu suffers a broken neck. See "The Franchise" & Cactus Jack take on The Sandman & "The Legend" Terry Funk. Tampa, Florida explodes as The Gangstas collide with Public Enemy. Upstate New York comes alive as The Steiner Bros. make their ECW debut. The Sandman and Cactus Jack tear down Ft. Lauderdale, FL. and each other. It's a Barbed Wire match up. Infamous Catfight between Francine and Bullah McGillacutty.
OMG!!!! I remember these commercials around the mid 90s. My friend never believed me when I told him that ECW used to have their own commercials back then. Now I can prove his ass wrong!!! Thank you for uploading this!!!!
any one know the name of the last song that played??? and yes the orginal ECW was the best F'N thing ever... wish I still had my original EC F"N W shirt... :(
That show on Sci-Fi is a disgrace to what ECW used to stand for. John Morrison would have been beaten to a bloody pulp in the real ECW this new version is GARBAGE.
Insult the "new ECW all you want, but John Morrison is amazing. He's a great wrestler and entertainer, NO REASON why he wouldn't fit in anywhere at any time.
right on man... i wouldn't say i'm an "original" i live in cincinnati but i got to start watching non-cable shows every tuesday nights on this local channel and later on sportschannel. mid-late '96 was when i started watching.
I love these ECW commercials where they showed the matches, play the music they were great.
I'm not sure if anyone remembers or has it but i'm looking for one ECW commercial clip with some great music where there was a guy who said "yo i'll be buried in the battlefield" it was great i hope someone has it.
Yeah it was great, I was like 10 when this was on , and it was just great. I mean Im glad its over with and its run its course so now we can reminisce
Holy shit! If you weren't watching ECW back in the day, you could never appreciate this! Seems like that show was one long commercial!
My all time favorite is the Born to Be Wired commercial with the cheesy Halloween music and Paul E's speech: 'There are those who say the Terry Funk-Sabu barbed wire match was too extreme, even for ECW...'
god i miss these. wtgw 48 days. hell i even remember channel 35.

ECW was more of an underground setting. Who neede the pyro and fancy entrances? Vince McMahon TOTALLY subverted it. A total money grab!

Looking back ECW was just a 60-minute informercial for the next ECW Arena show with 2 or 3 matches thrown in
krazyeman 4 years ago
Agreed. But I guess the same can be said for any wrestling show. RAW/SD!/ECW are just infomercials for t-shirts, PPV & live events.
I still regret not getting the damn Eliminators shirt!!
FishWasALady 4 years ago
@krazyeman But it was still the hottest thing going on television late on 2 a.m on some random local channel!
