Upper Merion 4*400- Jimmy (?), Jamal Anderson, Ernie Churchville, and some white guy (?). As far as I can tell, this time would have won Sub. American Penn Relays at the 2006, 2005, 2004, and 2002 events. In 2003, Wissahickon ran a 3:24.08- but it was warm and sunny that day if you recall.
that is not that fast at all...that would be everyone splitting 51's which is not that impressive considering that that is barely considered an elite performance for highschool and there were over one hundred teams under 3:20 last year and probably 200 more under 3:25...i would expect a faster time at the penn relays considering last years fastest high school 4x400 was 3:10.36
It's not bad considering that it came from four students of a suburban high school that at the time had well under 1000 kids. I would say that, on average, the chances of any random suburban high school with 900 kids having four, 400 meter runners being able to run under, say, :53 seconds is rare.
Actually 53 is a pretty elementary time if you look at all the times from every state most schools and classifications have primarily 51's and 50's and then there is no shortage of 49 second quarter milers, 48 and 47 and below is something raree but 53 is a time that would place you on the B team at the majority of schools in AA (1000 or less students) and maybe put you on the A team at a A school(less than 500 students)

Wow, what a memory. That was one heck of a group. I ran into Dan a couple of years ago in Downingtown.
For the record: Jimmie Hilliard, Jamal Pearson, Ernie Churchville, Dan Cregan.
