  • WOOT THOSE ARE U.S. STINGER MISSILES IN ACTION!!! I'M GLAD MY TAXES WERE PUT TO GOOD USE!!! KILL THOSE COMMIE BASTARDS!!! THUMBS UP IF U AGREE!

  • @damiion666

America Aided the mujaheddin or Freedom Fighters , and the Mujaheddin later turned into la Qaeda,In other words the americans did help them but unfortunately It backfired. so your tax money went the other way around.

  • @triplehhh8777 So what? Times change and enemies change. Back then the USSR was the bigger threat to world peace so we aided the mujahadeen. Alliances don't always stay the same it's a fact of history. Hindsight 20/20 is cool but no one can predict the future you just deal with it one day at a time.

  • @damiion666

That's true , but at the end of the-80s the cold war was nearing to its end. I think that the only president that was able to Diffuse the delicate situation between the US an USSR was Ronald Reagan.and Communism was nearing to its end in the USSR during this times.

America aided The muji's to aid there Battle against communism.same thing Happened in Korea. but the difference is that S. Korea remains loyal to The USA ,while Afghans sure didn't.

In the end its all part of history.

  • @triplehhh8777 Right on

  • @triplehhh8777 Right on

  • Another reason is that, is was not so much as they supplied them but Mujahideen training camps where in Pakistan, where they shiped cargo as well.

  • this film is amazing ! i have seen it all, one of the best non-hollywood films i have seen

  • This looks pretty good. I wish it was on english so I could understand what they were saying.

  • @rich5248 there is a subtitled version.

  • DAMN... you can thank Charlie Wilson for that one.

  • the guy was better of keeping his medailion on him lol

survived all war and gets killed on the plane home

    thats a bummer

  • what people confuse, war and cinema

  • 2:38

blue tape = russian quad rail

  • muy buena pelicula de combate, desgraciadamente porque se da la guerra.

  • I also wonder why the An-12 pilots wear gloves to fly? It looks pretty cool though...

  • It was an Antonov An-12 tactical transport aircraft

  • I wonder what kind of aircraft was the one that crashed?

  • This movie is like Full Metal Jacket, only Russian. Love both, Vientam war was bad for USA, Afghan war was bad for USSR.

  • @realIBeliX Vietnam war was GOOD for USA.. Thats way this war was during 8 years (1965-1973) USA have tested a new wepon, have recolt more money, selling arms for the Vietnamiens. It's true, the Government wanted this war during more possible. USA could finish this war in one month, but...

  • @Spartanets1 Well, some say it was bad, some say it was good, same was for USSR. Soviets tested their new that era equipment, got some diplomatic relationship around world etc. but agian, there are ignorant assholes wh othink USA and USSR lost. If Soviet pushes Afghan and didnt send every new recruit from compulsary service, USSR would also win.

  • Thank fuck I found this!!!! I have been looking forth name of this movie for over 2 years now!!! I saw it on TV an forgot the name of the film. I tell people about this film and what it is about and that they must see it but I could never remember the fucking name. I love this movie. It is a masterpiece.

  • @lwhoop That happened to me aswell, i saw assembly line on some chinses tv channel but have to search for hours on the web for the title. This movie is AMAZING btw, the game is sorta lame tho

  • The only reason why the Soviets lost and the US are losing in Afghanistan is because when Empires go to war they are prepared for a fight Iraq made the mistake twice but Afghanistan knows how to fight superpowers.

  • The us supplied them only ammo thats alll....they got the ak-47's russians when they got killed....so mujaheen is better than russians....well i kind of respect the soviet cause my uncle was a communist driver he is afghan...

  • negative the pakistani government provided them with arms they purchased with U.S. money

  • @TheTerrorist98 the ak-47's you are talking about are the chinese copy of Kalashnikov, that China was providing mujahids with during the war.

  • @mamajan2010 Really? Why did the people's republic of china supported the Muj? I thought China's communist friends with the USSR.

  • @publicmario17 because of Sino-Soviet Split. Type it on google search for further details.....

  • @publicmario17 ever since Stalin had died, Mao started to work out his own communist doctrine, very different from the one in USSR, the more radical one. This competition and struggle for whose doctrine is better led to the split in partnership between these two countries and tough relationships. After all, the USSR's decision to take over Afghanistan was not favorable for China because Chinese would rather have savage afghans by the side rather then well-armed potential enemy.

  • @publicmario17 because ussr and china had fought some boarder wars in the 1960s. because india and ussr were allies and china was afraid to lose power in this area and because china was scared that ussr will pound them after afghanistan.

  • @SovietBear91 explain a bit more please....i kinda don't understand what you talking about.

  • @publicmario17 after death of Stalin the maoist China become enemies to USSR

  • @publicmario17 I never got that either

  • @mamajan2010 Chinese copy of AK-47: The Type 56 assault rifle.

  • @Souw92 thank you for the info.

  • Hey does anyone know the name of the song?

  • great movie sad war damn Mujahadeen Russia should of killed you.

  • @patrioticSpetsnaz they were literally millions agains some hundred thousand soviet and allied forces... and as allways those insurgents are a bunch of campers lol... and sneaky rats, just like right now irak insurgents and afghans... campers campers heheheh

  • @borisrivas2929 Agree

  • @borisrivas2929 Define "allied forces" remember the U.S supplied the Mujahadeen. Damn bastards

  • @TheRedRussianCossack yes... thats another one...

  • @TheRedRussianCossack Back then it was a different time. The USSR also supplied the NVA and the Vietcong during the Vietnam war....the US just did the same thing to the soviets during the 80's

  • @Soldat177 The Mujahadeen were just a bunch of muslim rebels, North Vietnam was a country. Remember that these muslims are the same ones were are fighting today.

  • @TheRedRussianCossack Yea that's true but again it was a different time and the people in the US who wanted to help the afghans after the war got shut down. History is full of mistakes like this that we have to now deal with.

  • Tough SOBs, falling asleep in the cargo hold of an AN-12

  • "I am involved in the Land of Leonine (Lion-Like) and brave People where every Foot of the Ground is like a wall of Steel, confronting my Soldiers. You have brought only one Son into the World, but Everyone in this Land can be called an Alexander."

Alexander the Great "The Afghan border afford the spectacle of a people, who fight without passion, and kill one another without loss of temper....Every Man is a soldier!"

    Winston Churchill

  • and that qoute of alexander aint of afghanistan but of modern day punjab when it was inhabited by hindus and Sikhs

  • @shalomyo

he wrote this in a letter to his mother when he was in archosia (today known as Kandahar)

  • while he was fighting the sikhs

  • @shalomyo

i am talking about kandahar its southern afghanistan there wasnt any sikhs or hindus or punjabs or whatever sikhs are in punjab at the borderline of pakistan and india please get an atlas geography book!

  • we are talking about something over 2000years ago, borders were different back then

archosia was on the frontier with the indian empire/states

and he never actually fought inside afghanistan he married the daughter of a bacterian chief

alexander spoke of the indians as bieng brave fighters and spared the life of their king because they gave heavy resistance against him

  • I would like to see more Russian made films about their war in Afghanistan so the veterans can get recognized. Same as what happened here in the USA in the mid 1980's with making movies about our war in Vietnam. It finally got Americans asking and even thanking veterans for their service. Ronald Reagan and his advisors wanted to punish the USSR for their support and equipment given to the North Vietnamese during the Vietnam war and now we need Russian assistance in Afghanistan ( go figure).

  • @NDNveteran even more ironic is that you helped the taliban to power and also Saddam

  • I want my USSR back!

  • @fcbcdl

    long live shuravi !

  • @Gnoppong

    here's a good news video watch?v=e78iyNS1ooY

  • @Gnoppong

a socialist government established itself in afghanistan. rebel extremists began fighting the incremental change in muslim societies, so they started a guerilla war. the afhgan government sent 12 help letters to Moscow, eventually, the soviets decided to get involved and suffocate the rebel movement. They failed. Today the US government found (the way too much coincidences) 9/11 as an excuse to invade afghanistan for some ghost hunt while all they did was put bankers in government.

  • @Gnoppong Try Wikipedia, Soviet war in Afghanistan. Gives you a ballpark idea.

  • Besides, you are already saying all these lies about how you hate the US even though you know almost nothing about it, how the government is formed, how an average citizen lives, why all these people from Europe and Asia are going there, just stop the hate, and the stereotyping

  • @MultiAREE Ok i understand but this was borris jelzin times and its over putin brought russia to a high level and its better now russia has become something its not more the russia what jelzin did ok they are many problems but any country have his problems no one is perfect

  • @MultiAREE i have my reason why i hate the us because they are real reason why the sovietunion colapse gorbatschow us marionette and jelzin.and this is nothing what us do to the russians when they was in afghanistan usa sell weapons to the mujaheddeen and usa is the reason why they are so much terrorism in the world sorry comrade im not confused i dont know what they told you in the usa but we russians knows better

  • @TheCCCP1983 So Gorbachov was secretely working with the Americans to dismantle USSR? hmm k, not true but c ya

  • battlescene???? more like hiding faggot bitch bringing down a plane by stinging it.

  • Haha nice the afghans used the american stinger missle!! :D Americans for the win!

  • @blackhawkwm sorry but america have lost this war too your soldiers are not good enough in afghanistan and no one is good enough to fight there and win i am not russian or a muslim but i said what fact is you can go and fight in afghanistan but not win thats so my friend Nato and usa will loose this conflict to sorry

  • @Stormraider1000 "good enough?" oh so if the enemy is hiding in the civillian population you are gonna destoy the whole country in order to kill the enemy? You brainwashed fuck

  • @MultiAREE shut up you freak i told what true is you americans killed civilians too what about irak and what about kosovo who is a brainwashed fuck i think is you

  • @Stormraider1000 You didn't even understand what I said dumbass, how is US supposed to kill all the insurgents when they are hiding among the population? They hold their guns to the civillians' heads so that they citizens don't say anything. You suppose we torture every Iraqi-Afghani untill we find every single terrorist? You fucking suck, these are unconventional wars where you can't just invade the country and colonise it like it was in the 20th century of before that. Your ignoracy annoys me

  • @MultiAREE sorry man but you talks some dumbshit maybe you mean hitler germany but this is over and none hier in austria like it i have nothing against americans but your georg bush politiks is dumb i dont know what about obama is but when your contry attack other countrys like irak kosovo or afghanistan your nation will go same way like hitler germany. hey man short to say the whole world europe.asia. russia all this country dont like your country because of your dumb war politiks.

  • @Stormraider1000 You make assumptions based on things you do not know, and yes you are ignorant as fuck, you refuse to see the whole picture and then say a bunch of bullshit. You are a perfect example of an immature kid trusted with a computer, goodbye asshole, and do not even mind replying to this comment, for I will not read it, for you fail

  • @TheCCCP1983 Russia turned into a piece of shit during the 90's, Chechnya, Anna Politkovskaya, Lutwinenko, Army draft, underfunded schools, politicians stealing money from the government, bad salaries, so we decided to get a visa and move to US. But no, since my dad was a Nuclear Scientist and Russia wouldn't fucking let him leave, so he get fake passport and then get to US. After 5 years, we get citizenship and live in mansion in nice rich suburbs in California,

  • Comment removed

  • @MultiAREE And im not ignorant but i say what fact is sorry my english is not the best

  • The soldier with the medallion said never take it off, and you'll go home.

He then took it off and gave it to the newbie.

    He dies.

    Ha! Irony.

  • stinger missiles courtesy of the CIA.

  • russia wan the military war but it lost the politic war against afghanistan

  • the soviet union fought against America, Arabs, PAkistani ISA and afghanis in afghansitan

while america along with canada, germany, britian, denmark are fighting a bunch of cavemen

    learn histroy

  • @shalomyo ...right on

  • @shalomyo

The soviet union never fought the US. They supplied anyone who hated the US. Thats it.

  • @shalomyo A bunch of Cavemen who in their entire history have never been conquered, ever. Learn your history

  • mongols conqured them, indians conquered them, alexander the great conquered them............

  • @shalomyo only way to beat them is to kill every single last one of them...no other way

    that is what genghis did

alexander had to keep 1/4 of his entire army in Afghanistan to keep it under control and even then he couldn't do that properly....it never became a proper greek province because he didn't kill every last human there and only had minimal control over the main cities...

and the indians hardly conquered them....

Everyone wants the land of the Cavemen...no one will get it..

  • alexander never had any major revolts in the former persian empire specially not in the afghan region which was sparsely populated compared to other regions, most of his revolts were closer to greece or in greece itself

it was also a greek province for many years to come under the seleucid empire

so dont tell me fairy tales

you should also read about the maurya empire

  • @shalomyo

The Prsian empire under Darius held most of Afghanistan, as did Alexander, but it was never really pacified under either's rule. They may have been invaded but not conquered.

  • @riseld4 Afghans themselves are considered as Persians

and @shalomyo *sigh* you did not read my comment....i never mentioned any revolt or denied any took place....address what I say and maybe we'll get along.

  • im qouting u this time:

"alexander had to keep 1/4 of his entire army in Afghanistan to keep it under control and even then he couldn't do that properly"

one might think u are referring to revolts and uprisings although it could just be my misunderstanding

never the less what u said is totally wrong

  • @shalomyo care to prove it?

And Afghanistan was never subdued my friend. The Afghan people were either fighting for the greeks or against the greeks but never as taxpayers and servants of the greeks or Greek citizens, sure Greek culture eventually integrated but that was only in the major cities where it was allowed to via the army lines and trade routes...

  • name me the region/city where alexander kept 25% of his army

can u define please who where the "afghan people" 1500 years ago

the tiny pushtun tribes? the parthians? the persians? bactrians?

afghanistan is just a region inhabited by various different people

alexander married the daughter of a bactrian king/chief so he never had to fight in the afghan region he was the new ruler by default

  • @shalomyo Yes thank you for proving my point that afghanistan was never conquered arguement over.

  • learn to read

  • @shalomyo Shut the fuck up

  • just because alexander and persian rulers didnt need to use any force to exert their rule over the afghan region doesnt mean it wasnt "fully pacified" if anything it shows that region had no real army or force to counter their new rulers

and ur right afghanistan was never conqured it was always a backgarden of some empire and was just passed around as part of whatever empire it belonged to

  • @shalomyo "didn't need any force to exert the rule over the afghan region"?

rofl you are the one in fairyland now

Did you not know that Alexander had to keep 1/4 of his Army in Afghanistan to keep the peace? I have read many books on the subject, I suggest you do so as well...(wikipedia doesn't count as a book)

And again Afghans themselves are Persian....Afghanistan hasn't really had a unified army but the people fight as induviduals together to defend themselves and their liberty.

  • @rusbp americans fight alot better and are making more progress in afghanistan than the russians ever did.

  • USSR alone fought against USA,Pakistani ISA, arab mercenaries and afghanis in afghanistan

while today USA along with Britian, germany, denmark, italy, poland, pakistan are fighting against bunch of cavemen

    u should learn histroy

  • @shalomyo

america also isn't bombing the "cavemen" out of existence. little thing called human rights. oh right. thats an alien concept to you all

  • neither did the USSR if thats what you are implying, the USSR actually built up alot of kabul + Khandahar and loads of other areas and let alot of afghanis flee to USSR

the reality is USSR wasnt anymore "brutal" than ISAF forces today while the the mujaheddin of the 80s had a lot more backing than the taliban today

  • @shalomyo usa is fighting taliban, al qaeda, chechens, africans, etc. the muhj slaughtered the soviets, afghanistan is not winnable, no matter what superpower you are, British empire, USSR, USA

  • are u trying to equate arabs and chechens to a 1st class intelligence organization that provided state of the art weapons (stingers) and satellite images to the muja against the soviets

afgahnistan has been conquered before by the mongols, greeks indians and the objective of NATO and USSR wasnt to conquer but to stabilise the country

the soviets completed their duty they kept the government that wanted their support in power

  • @shalomyo those "cavemen" were the priority target your mighty Soviet Union didnt win against... so if anything today NATO is doing the same mistake... the same mistake the soviets did in the 80s.

  • when the ussr left afghanistan those cavemen supported by ISI and CIA still couldnt topple the communist government of Afghanistan

for about 1 dead soviet soldier there were 100 dead rebels

ther ISAF forces will complete their mission if they can keep karzia in power

  • @shalomyo well for every 1 dead American today in 9 years there should be at least 500 dead rebels. its not about how many of those suckers you kill, its how far you get. and NOBODY got far, the only way you can beat afgahnistan, sadly is killing all of them with firebombs and nukes. but neither the US nor the USSR are that crazy, that would be no victory. and NO the afghans were not into destroying the USSR, do you think an afghan bloke would even care? they were just fighting back like today.

  • well do u even know why ussr was in afghanistan in the first place?

  • @shalomyo they wanted afghanistan to be part of their union, they wanted to support the limited but existing socialist party in afghanistan... you know if they were succesfull they might actually stop 9/11 and make afgahnistan a better place... but it was too late, too late for afgahnistan and too late for the Soviet Union... now the clock is ticking for the US to realise that what they are doing the exact same thing and the afgahn only care about getting stoned and not advancing...

  • it honestly depends, ISAF forces have a good chance to keep current afghan government in power and in iraq they managed to instal a government aswell

  • the soviets had a bigger problem, they were fighting the CIA and ISI who provided unlimited support to the rebels the taliban dont have that today

  • @shalomyo Unlimited support? LOL they just bought them like a bunch of Stinger missiles, which in reality didnt really flinge the Hinds as much as they were rumored to. same goes with the Milan Missiles. the Mujahidin wouldnt have won because of 2 billion $ worth of equipment compared to maybe tens of billion $ of what the Soviet had. the Soviets couldnt win because of the Terrain. same goes with the US, it doesnt matter if the Taliban had laser guns, its all about the- CAVES.

  • but honestly where do you think they would have gotten weapons and ammo from if the CIA and ISI didnt provide it

the west they would have had, would have been lee refiles and no anti tank weapons or mines

  • @shalomyo black market from Karachi Pakistan, that should be like 95% of their weapons... and mostly old Soviet weapons, i dont see any Taliban using M16s, they mostly use AKs, Dragunov, DSHK, RPG-7. old soviet stuff they got themselves easily. so if anything, both the west and the former soviet union created Taliban... but again my point is, people should just stay away from Afghanistan, it wasnt worth Russain Blood, and its not worth NATO blood either...

  • but if pakistan wasnt on their side they wouldnt have had any access to karachi

  • @shalomyo Pakistan is the main source of weapons in Afghanistan, and its not what they want... its just the way it is... there is so LESS control over the Khyber pass than people think. its impossible to stop the smuggling...

  • in the 80s ISI was helping the rebels, in the civil war that followed they created the taliban and now there are some sources revealing that the ISI has been helping the taliban against the ISAF

so they been backstabbing NATO while they got billions in aid

  • @shalomyo well for once i agree with you 100%

  • @shalomyo

    it doesnt matter who

but the "bunch of caveman" like you call them fighted all of them and won against all

  • who ever lived in afghinstan for the past 2000 years was controlled by empires so they lost against mongols, they lost against the persians they lost against the hellenistic army of alexander and many other emipres

maybe 1000 years ago afghanistan might have had real civilization on its grounds with buddihsts greeks and hindus but other wise today is a different story

  • @shalomyo : The ones you call "cavemen" brought to superpowers to their knees.

  • if u wana see superpowers on their knees study ww2 and ww1

the only people on their knees are the afghans

  • @shalomyo : What is it about WW1 and WW2?

So you are ignoring the fact that the afghans beat the British empire, the Soviets and are currently beating the hell out of the Americans. LOL

  • @shalomyo

hmm there was the USA Germany france Sovjetunion

hmmmmm let me see oh all of them were in afghanistan and oh all of them lost

  • @MagisterHamid What they lack in brainpower in technology, they make up for in stealth, numbers and relentlessness. But without a doubt, they are primitive cavemen.

  • @Calvary48 : Judging by the crimes of US and the Soviet Union in Afghanistan I would say that those two are the barbaric cavemen. Not the afghans. The poor afghans managed more or less single handed bring down three superpowers on their knees.

  • @MagisterHamid Would you rather be captured by Americans or the Taliban? An Afghan prisoner would get a prayer mat and access to a lawyer in prison. If an American dared to touch him, he'd go to jail. The Taliban takes American prisoners to their cave and saws off their head. Which one is less barbaric? I don't know...you decide. Fucktard.

  • @Calvary48 are you fucking kidding me? Have you ever heard of Abu Ghraib? Guantanamo? Bagram base? Yeah nice little holiday retreats for war prisoners taken by the americans!

  • @MagisterHamid And our liberal media PUBLICLY CONDEMNED the use of torture. They made movies about it (Taxi to the Dark Side anyone?). By the way about 150 prisoners have died under US custody. And most of that was done by rogue soldiers who were later imprisoned. Now, would you care to name a Taliban who was imprisoned by his own people for killing an American unjustly? No? Well then...

  • @Calvary48 no you scumbag. Guantanamo and Bagram prisons are still active and running. The Americans dont allow any insight into Bagram. The media and the people are not at all aware of what crimes americans have commited there and are still committing.

  • @MagisterHamid You don't realize the stupidity of what you're saying. If Bagram was so secretive, you wouldn't even know crimes were committed there...unless....you WERE in Bagram and escaped! Fucking fugitive...

By the way, I never said they weren't active. Also, the prison was turned over to the Afghans. So that means we are no longer involved....

And please don't mention the material I'm made out of (green vegetation on top of water as it turns out).

  • @Calvary48 : Please show me any source which tells that the Bagram prison have been turned over to the Afghans. Let's see if you can walk the walk redneck.

  • @MagisterHamid since when did bagram have a prison? i thought it was only an air base.

  • @kalinga01 Stop watching Fox News. There are around 500 detainees on Bagram. Search for Bagram Prison on google.

  • @MagisterHamid Hahaha, i don't watch Fox news. they are so conservative. just because i am american, it doesn't mean you need to assume that i am an ignorant far right conservative that watches Fox news. I know that half of america is like that, but please don't assume things. i just didn't know that there was a prison in bagram. i only knew about a temporary detention facility. so this is a permanent facility at Bagram? and besides, the taliban are detained there, right?

  • @kalinga01 Well the majority of Americans I've met around on the internet have been either plain dumb, found their facts on Fox news or still believe that Saddam really had weapons of mass destructions.

About Bagram, do you call a detention facility "temporarly" if it's been active for the last couple of 9 years and the prisons are held there for years, tortured and sometimes killed? Not only talibans but americans throw everyone which they suspect of being "illegal combatants".

  • @MagisterHamid ahh, i see. i really didn't know much about it.

  • @kalinga01 : I can't blame you. The american news media seems extreamly biased.

  • @MagisterHamid yeah fox news is crap. and its sad that politicians such as sarah palin are so popular, because people like palin have super-conservative backwards policies that seem to really be screwing up america. and they call people that aren't completely far right socialists. it seems to be getting better with obama in power these days. but a lot of progress must be made.

  • @MagisterHamid Every country is doing something wrong when it comes to war crimes...some are just better at hiding it than others.

  • @blackhawkwm Oh, really now. Tell me, what has America accomplished in Afghanistan?

  • @blackhawkwm they shouldn't be in the country in the first place....

  • blackhawkWM

"americans fight alot better and are making more progress in afghanistan than the russians ever did."

I know dude!!! They kill far more efficiently Afgan farmers, children, women & elderly with super-smart laser-guided missiles. One LGB per one Afgan peasant - GREAT STIMULUS FOR THE AMERICAN ECONOMY!!! From time to time they even kill some canadian soldiers - collateral damage what can u do...

  • @THETANK249 who the fuck ever told you that? You gonna tell those bedtime stories to your kids?

  • @MultiAREE You know nothing about this war. You should be a patriot! Not "a crasy fan" Hahaha

  • @MerryMirna Yes I do dumbass haha

  • @MultiAREE go to hell and stay there.

  • @THETANK249 What was it that I said? That the movie overdramatizes the Afghan War? And then, 10 year olds watch the movie, and develop hate for all Muslims?

  • Holy Crap!

  • IRL The company lost only six men. Another 28 out of the total 39 were wounded. Two of the killed soldiers were posthumously awarded the golden star of the Hero of the Soviet Union. The unit was in constant communication with headquarters and got everything the regimental commander, Colonel Valery Vostrotin, could provide in terms of ammunition, reinforcements, and helicopter evacuation of the wounded.

Because for muslims killing people is OK and retailiation over them was an insult to Allah! That was the lecturing and doctrine of prophet Mohammed, the greatest terrorist in human history, this man preaching with sword!

  • Muslims are bastards. Fucken barbarians, you worth only of testes of new weapons. Preferably something strong and terrible. Such as nuclear or biological. I wish all of you to go to hell.

  • @ssnakessnake1

1,000,000 Mujahideen or does that include women and children? And for 13,000 of your brothers lives I wouldn't agree that this war was worth it. Do you not agree?
