I finish my plates too but I dont think I can break from it I was raised for a good bit as a kid by my grandmother who lived through the depression and she always would tell me stories about starving all the time and it all made me to where I have to finish it.I do however try and not go for seconds unless im at the buffet.
That's one thing I never let my parents do, affect the way I raised my kids. I hated having to finish my plate. I hated having to eat things I didn't like. All the things I hated I fixed with my kids. Best I could do.
@MonicaTheMad Learning from your parents mistakes. ;) I'd like to think we all try to do that rather than repeating the same cycle.
Did ya ever say something to your kids though and realise you sounded just like your mom or dad? I do that once in awhile. Always catches me off guard.
@RoobyJuice *judmental stare with a pout* .......how dare you *starts eating crisps* You're supposed to be on a died *sprays whipped cream into his own mouth* This is ment get you better *Stuffs a pancakes into his mouth* come on your better than this *hand full of caramel into his mouth* God damn it *cardiac arrest* XD
Yay you :) I have always struggled with wasting food. It was hard to learn to adjust my portions but it is the best thing to do. The one time where I do screw that method up is with pasta...I just can't judge the portion size with pasta and as I love it so much I do tend to eat all of what I've cooked lol. At the moment I'm trying to cut down on bread as that is my food demon...just love my toast! Lol. Keep up the great work hunni bun. Loves ya oodles xxx
@hideandseek80 Pasta and rice are so hard to judge aren't they. Quite often John will cook and he piles the plates. I just need to learn to leave it if I don't need it. Trouble is wanting it and needing are two diff things entirely.
You go Rooby. I love your candid attitude to all of this. <3

Cool that you have lost a couple of pounds, slow but steady you'll get there.

@Arthur40TwoDent It's so frustrating that I have sooo much to lose. It's a long road when you're obese. Patience is the key. x
