I love this piece. I can understand how it wasnt the sopranos fault that she overpowered the alto. I do think the piece was a little fast though. However, it is supposed to be a very fast upbeat song. Overall i think it could have been a little better, but i havent seen another video as great as this one. So great job!
i didnt like it at all first of all why can i hear the soprano over everyone else and it sounds like theres two tenors..... i dnt hear the alto at all, to fast tempo, the acting was great, i feel as tho the choreography was made up as they went, um i think it was alright.....also it seems as though the soprano could not hit some of her notes and she had to scale up to the note.....smh, sophrano/alto this angers me...

The alto did need to louder but the soprano notes are higher so they seem louder. In some parts they are supposed to sing the part. I can hear the part but thats because I know the alto part. The bass part at the start should be lower though. Great stage presence! :)

Our Choir did this song and it was WAY better than this no offence, but we did it with our varsity mix choir all of them. So we had like 60 people on stage Girls and guys. It was amazing we got a standing ovation and everything. WE BROUGHT DOWN THE HOUSE ^_^
every group I hear singing this, has such a quicker tempo then my choir sings at... it's surprising... I like the small group though... it's better then a group of like 60 or what ever
I agree. The soprano is way too loud, they shouldn't have independently microphoned... And this song was written for a quartet/double quartet and I feel, personally, that it sounds better with fewer people.
It's fine to independently microphone if they have a soundboard and turn down on the soprano. My school recently put on Annie and we always had to turn down the mic for Hannigan and Grace.
Wow was the audience dead or something? They had NO reaction. Not a bod job, the balence needs work and I have to say the guys did WAY better acting than the girls. I didn't think the first girl did very well acting. But all around very good.
I sang this piece in high school too. Good job but FAR better with a full choir. The soprano was pushing her voice a little too much. I agree tempo was a little fast. And a part was missed at 2:57 as well. The second "Most apposing view"
the tempo used was way to fast, as of what was called for on the actual piece. the soprano singer was putting her voice infront of everyone else's.. throwing off the balance and blend of the quartet. and i have to agree with 'xJC12x' that it does sound weird without a full choir singing it. my choir performed it in a new england competition last year, and won first place with the piece. overall, a great attempt at showing your audience how likely it is for a couple to fight.. great job =]

i totally agree. like a couple days ago my director gave us this piece and said sight read. it was awesome. but some people were dragging so i totally think the less people the better.

oh, and the lyrics are, "How foolish WERE WE both to argue." Not "we were", that took us forever to get right. XD

Bass was off pitch alot of the time...
Soprano needed to lower her volume so the alto could have been heard. Other then those it was really good ^_^

we did this song with around 150 in the chorus. we even added our own actions during the song. we got the whole crowd laughing. we had a lot of fun.

i sang this song last year with my school's large choir. i love it, though the soprano's a little too bright for my taste. =]
